Well that's what I think. Bojo needs to use all the right trigger words to get the algos going. Smalltrader, if that's a subtle de-ramp, (isn't a de-ramp suggesting/declaring a share price fall?) then I quit lol. Anyway, on a cine specific basis, it's great news. Retail, entertainment, travel stocks should benefit
Part of me says the market has already reacted, but part of me says not. So hopefully once it's confirmed, there's a further push on this week
Bonkers, well said.
The thing with some investors, is that they forget that there's a wider world out there of other shorters, long termers and traders. I'm going to share a story. I mentioned cineworld to a few people I know and one in particular who I provided pension advice to ended up buying about 3 weeks ago, maybe longer when it was in the 90s (not under my advice/recommendation). I just told them that I'm invested and because I can see what trades they are doing, I noticed the buy. However, they sold after a few weeks, maybe less.
I say all this to say, that there's millions of people trading and recognising potential. Some/most get it wrong. I think we underestimate that sometimes and when there's falls in the sp, it's down to various factors. Certainly, traders who buy high and sell at a loss contribute to this. There's definitely times where the sp is under attack and people can't hack it, then people start selling which can snowball.
We aren't out of this phase yet imo, until there is a strong boost of say 10-20%.
Lpd at it again with his investigative work. Just leave it alone. We really don't care

Lol fun £4.23/5 more like
Yeah of course, but they play by different rules also. You just never know
I guess the potential problem you have is that the US is the best market, yet the country is big enough to be a right mess. Generally things have been better, so of course we should hope for better, however as the article mentions, in some parts vaccination take up is low. I doubt it will impact the box office massively though, unless they reverse their unlocking. At this stage, I can't see it happening. We're already a year behind in terms of movie releases, so it would be suicide to delay again.
Javid has said he expects cases to rise and we have to live with the virus. I think anyone could have realised that after the second wave. So cases won't be a factor as long as deaths and NHS aren't stretched. The vaccine is helping with those things. So once we are fully free, (too an extent) businesses like cine can operate fully. Normal events can take place and we should in theory make more money. All helps the cause to a rising sp. Only risk I see is a reversal, terrible business numbers or new type of pandemic
I wonder if England's performance will boost the markets? It's one of those special events that will boost the economy in terms of spending. So I wonder if traders will start buying due to their happiness. Can't remember if it did in 2018, but would be nice wouldn't it
Tbh I cannot see it going near to £ next week
A lot of people get excited and carried away when the sp rises sharply. Most of the that just means it's going to retrace. The sp was above 84p most of the day and still finished under. I'd suggest some just relax on the expectations
Lol takeover reversed
Is it 89p yet?
Haha speak for yourself
Bc2020 I think you're getting carried away. Cine likes a retrace and especially when rises are unjustified, there's always a swing back down to reality. Until I see double digit consecutive rises, this won't get me that excited. Nice to see, but that's only because we stopped the rot, but by no means put of the woods yet. More concrete figures, positive analysis, luck and changing sentiment required. Hopefully this will drive a nice sustainable run
Agreed. This is bittersweet. It's nice but not enough. However, all depends on your position/strategy. Great for some of course
Today was the sort of rise that cine is capable of. I guess it also means that we're heavily traded. However, there was no great fuss about today. The rise happened and has kept in range. Would be great if we had a lot lot more of this. Unlikely of course, but just goes to show how unfortunate we've been over the last 3 months
Of course it's not happening. Just having a laugh on this positive day
XXX PG, isn't that like hand holding? Ha
