The Attorney-General’s Office has approved the terms of a settlement agreement relating to the Historic Claim and has recommended this to the relevant Governmental Institution for signature in order to resolve this longstanding matter. Accordingly, the fully executed settlement agreement is currently awaited to enable the Company to complete the process of recovery.

The order of execution:

High Court of Zimbabwe issues an Order.

That order is then signed and stamped.

The Attorney-GeneralR17;s Office approves the terms of a settlement agreement.

The relevant Governmental Institution approves the order for signature.

That approval is debated by the MPs and passed for signature.

The final order is signed for clearance by the President.

The President signs the order as a decree to the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.

That order is presented to the chief of the vault for signature of release.

The signed order of the release is presented to the custodian at the vault for his approval.

This approved signed release order is then presented to the guard of the vault for ratification to be presented to the keyholders of the safe.

AP and representatives of the company require the permission slip from the Treasury, the Attorney General, the President and the guards - duly ratifying their collective bona fides - for final release of the diamonds.

All the documents are presented to guards and the safe is duly opened.

All the contents of the safe are sent to the chief valuation officer of the treasury for approval for release.

The valuation certification is duly signed by the Treasury for the approval of the Attorney General for agreement.The agreement certificate and order are sent to parliament for the approval of the house.

Upon a satisfactory vote in agreement the final mandated verdict of the house is then sent to the President for final approval.

This approval is then sent to the Attorney General for clearance.

The Attorney General send the signed clearance order of release to the company who presents it to the custodian of the vault.

The custodian of the vault then signs an order to the guard of the safety deposit box to release its contents.

The contents are then released to the company.
