Forget VAT they’ll still be well in profit and have learned the Tanzania way of doing things; supporting the regime, being fair to the community, giving something back and paying their proper tax. The country has been raped in the past and as many know they ain’t no pushovers anymore and probably no longer corrupt. Thanks for the reply but it does seem if the company resold the shares that the profit would go under paid up share capital. So it would seem they could be 10m richer if they sold.

I sent funds to Africa in answer to an email saying I was owed £millions but I had to pay them for their fees firstly ....it seems genuine enough? Barrick Gold Corp. announced a deal with the government of Tanzania that will see the gold miner pay $300 million US to settle all outstanding tax and other disputes over its mines in the African country.

Tanzania has suspended talks between the government and foreign investors in the oil and gas sector that would have set the tone for the review of Production Sharing Agreements (PSAs). The suspension is blamed on delays by the Attorney General's chambers.

In 2018, the government ordered the review of laws and policy, putting the liquefied natural gas (LNG) project sector on hold.

The $30 billion LNG project has been in the planning for the past five years. Construction is set to start in 2022. The plant is expected to add 10 per cent gas to Tanzania's domestic use.

Speaking to The EastAfrican, Felix Nanguka, Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) LNG project manager said, "Negotiations have been temporarily suspended to allow for the PSA on gas review. There was overlapping between issues that were negotiated in the existing contracts.

The warnings were obvious, but can anyone say that any of the following dangers have been overcome?
· Lack of exploration, appraisal and development drilling success

· Ability to complete the Ruvuma Farm-Out

· Ability to secure other financing for Group operations

· Ability to meet licence work commitments

· Delayed or non-payment of receivables from the TPDC

· Delay in approval of Mtwara Licence extension, Ntorya development licence and Nyuni Area Second Extension Period with amended work commitments....
