Barrick had no choice as their invested mines were shut down as ACA we’re cheating, shooting and killing ... the safety record was appalling and they were exporting Tanzania bit by bit overseas ....in 10 years Tanzania would have been a part of Asia had ACA had their own way (that’s an exaggeration btw) . Instead of paying their back dated tax Barrick Conceded 16% of the new Company to form an alliance with the Tanzania government through a new company. The new company is to oversee safety, production and exports as Barrick cannot be trusted .. watch Johns lips “NO MORE CHEATING” .....
Barrick are so happy as 16% is chicken feed on a rising gold Market whilst having one hell of a foothold in Tanzania. I think if asked the question “would you give up 16% of the business in Tanzania to secure mining rights forever... They would get 4 turns and a Golden Buzzer .! ... Saturday night TV distraction ... sorry where was I ? .., GREATLAND .... going over old ground thinking the millions spent on earlier surveys were just not looking deep enough... yeah put me down as. I heard a whisper that the 24th was to be a signing ......pity but I think AEX is next

ACA under declared what they were exporting and got caught. They didn’t refine in Tanzania but sent thousands of tonnes to Asia escaping Royalties. 400 tonnes were impounded at the port and samples were taken and found to contain much more value than was declared. The Government charged them 350m USD in backdated tax/royalty payments and closed the mine. ACA was bought by Barrick for not very much and they paid the tax due and the mine was reopened.
Hopefully this Dog can now drop the Bone?

SHG have declared that the expected increase in their Royalty payments are increasing by 80/oz due to the higher price of gold through 2010 ..this is how to deal straight. You can hear this in the presentation, all budgeted for open and true.
SHG will not be taken over when gold reaches 1600 or 50000....so stop putting fear into the SP

You are correct it is governments that takeover or revoke licences ..... Banning Fracking springs immediately to mind as does Closing Coal Mines and taking back Rail Franchises, Nationalising Industries(OK there aren't any), whilst creating Ombudsman to curtail profits and making Windfall Taxes a thing . Taxing Tobacco, Petrol and Alcohol and soon to be Sugar at extortionate rates whilst charging High Street Shops rates they cannot afford and Airlines taxes that aren't achievable. How can a Government make such charges for every pound earned; Income tax up to 45% Corporation Tax 19% National Insurance 12% +stamp duties +death duties +inheritance tax and for every pound spent charging a VAT tax of 20%+- . Who is this Government? ...........oh yes its the UK !

Loving the answer to the 2 questions we needed to know.
Firstly the question and worry of recent revoked licences in Tanzania - sometimes mining companies bring it on themselves but we are well established and confident that what we are doing is the correct approach The second answer didn’t actually have a question and the answer was “we are going to reward shareholders this year” .... the question we all wanted to ask was “when are we going to get a dividend?”

Most holders are stuck with this stock and probably think it ain’t worth selling as there is still hope.... Rigz for instance bought at 5.4 and got out at 3 but had he not sold at 3 he’d still be holding and thinking I’ll keep these as I’m not losing £8k I may as well keep em! Now he’s thinking ah 1p sounds cheap and so he’s back in looks like a 100,000 buy this time round and I really think he will make back the £4K if he sells when this breaks out, as it does. We are all in it for the profit not to support the lifestyle of the owners. Institutions get a nod and a wink and probably the odd stop loss.
Anyway I’m in and if it drops I’m still in ... TIL that glorious day when it hits 4p again

Been in here for long enough to see the trends, the SPs gone down for the past 5 years and when it spikes it falls straight down again. There’s no fundemental investors here just day traders , there’s nothing wrong with that it’s been very rewarding buying at .95 and selling at 1.25 for the past year. There’s no reason to hold this share for the long term as the 5 year graph tells you and the fundamentals are all in brackets.
I’m risking very little here at .95 and if there’s good news I’ll sell out along with most others and continue in this way until the day there’s some results on their balance sheet and the chance of a dividend then I’ll hold......but extinction rebellion feats I haven’t got that long.
Look at SHG they are in Tanzania and have learned what to do it’s not a tip but just an example of what I mean by fundamentals. Dyor gla

Just stick a few hundred in because if there’s good news this will go crazy, on the other hand if they don’t get the licence you’ll only lose a few hundred. And remember to sell on the spike as everyone here does....
