*hitting refresh on tradingview website, questioning the dodgy internet south of the equator...
oil has been higher than 63.....
*facepalm.
agree with that GTLD, I had it at 60.5 and feared that it could break thru this today when it started dropping. I had money in going the other way, looking for an early bounce when the market opened. sucked in by the MACD (not a day trader BTW.......!)
hmmmmm, Solan...
well, there will be more money into that for sure - perhaps a support well or 2. makes sense to as the value an additional injector could add v's the outlay - would make sense if the production numbers could go up. what's 25million to increase production by say 20%? then it becomes more appealing to a buyer too...who's to say that there isnt a solution with a buy-in from another oil major for the use of the platform too - share a slot or 3 (fnarrr!)
sell Zama? nope. why would you with one of the biggest finds down that way? and who's to say that there isn't more in connected blocks? wells getting deeper, completions getting smarter, the rock sniffers becoming better at modelling well paths (better at guessing essentially, as that's the 'exact science' and chicken bones they use)
you have to think longer term too, if something is good, make it better. Catcher = further wells. falklands is one of the lowest tax brackets for oil production, I want to say 26pc, and PMO have proved that they can complete a field development that makes good money, and is, from an engineering standpoint, not having to reinvent the wheel.
all in all, don't sell anything, build on what is there. I'm all for buying new assets as long as it adds value to the company. not to be confused with buying other companies sh*t rolled in glitter.
at this price, there cannot be a downside with the current standing. the only way is from strength to strength.
obviously, all iMO.
I'll have some of those drugs too please!
Falkland is a little way off from 2021 production imo. Look at the Catcher development, one rig drilling and completing. There has been no mention of an FPSO, how long did it take to build the catcher FPSO? Planning is 2 years (contracts, tender work and awarding to 3rd parties) then the build of the subsea infrastructure and putting it in place...
Then to drill. In deep water no less. 2 month to drill, and month to complete each well. Could assume one boat for drilling and one boat for completion but hen you have to consider that it’s £750,000 per day (operating cost) for each Drill Ship.
Need to sell the oil and be sure of doing that before committing to something like this. And it’s still not written and approved that the development is going ahead.. a long way off I reckon. IMO.
you two wanna get a room and measure cocks in private?
Dont want to read the anger - present facts like adults and discuss. Not name call.
I have a headache from frowning at my screens... why isn't this blue? FTSE holding it back someone said earlier. but even still, with Brent up over 2% at this and FTSE down 0.5%? im not so sure...
Brent that is... someone forgot to tell PMO...
someone lit a fire under it...
agree with the trend being down v's Friday (I drew some lines with my crayons), but how in the name of Zeus' left testicle can it drop with the anticipation of the good update this week?
note: anyone know how to get crayon of of a computer screen? also have one stuck in my nose.... F**king Mondays...
nope. won't hit it I don't think.
needed a Brent (@ close) of $71.4 to $71.6. all went to pot at 13:00 and with the US markets open. all imho of course. im going to refrain from the buy high sell low tho - keep holding for a while longer.
if only there was a way to retrospective share trade.....
right on cue... the guy is unbelievable!
will be doing well to pull 2% blue day.
his comments seem inversely proportional to the SP. its a steal at this price, good time for a top up. off to buy my supplement of 1 share.
Mrd5432 - its a skill, to be able too buy high and sell low... some say it takes years of training and skill to be able to read a share and do this. I must confess, Its a skill I have. gets depressing sometimes.
there's a stiff westerly breeze, might have an impact. and I had 2 sugars in my coffee this morning too. has that been factored in?
morning all. been in and out of this for sometime now, but always keep an eye on this board. there are some characters for sure! anyway, juts thought I would drop in this time, see if I can share any knowledge that I might have or any interesting views. that will be for you lot to decide tho (if they are interesting or not..)
best o luck - it seems a touch of that is needed with this one.
open 88, finish 90.
https://www.theguardian.com/business/2018/aug/23/oil-giant-aramcos-2tn-flotation-is-still-on-says-saudi-arabia
old but worth keeping in the back of your brain. Saudi want to float Aramco, they want/need a high stable oil price... must be good news for PIs going long.
oil has been steady in return (ignoring the antic of mid may thru to now) - showing that we will be @ a steady $85-$90 per bbl at the end of next year.
all IMO of course.
