Any experts out there that can explain a 2 quid drop in SP price on pretty good results and a raised divi. I may regret it but just topped up and it can sit there like a fund and i'll just collect the 8% every year.

I agree. I posted you can set your watch by this share. I did get a sarcastic response about my magic watch. However, it you look at the 1 minute, 5 minute and 10 minute candlesticks for the last week it is very predictable. I only think a computor and algorithm can do this. I have no idea where the bottom could be. My average is 1270 but todays dip still caught me out following the news of selling two UK factories with loss of jobs.

I keep looking for the bottom but it keeps moving. I thought 1300p was a good entry point until this afternoon. If it keeps going down i guess no ones buying. Ps. I never short, dont know what i am doing enough, i just wanted a safe investment but this aint it.

I am coming round to your way of thinking. The markets are so manipulated that you can often make more swing trading than just sitting and waiting for a divi.

Sold on a small profit and waiting for 1370 to get back in. My previous average was 1395.

Any thoughts on the bottom tho. Watching BP, BAT and GSK and they are all being taken down again. Only a computor could make it look so regular and predictable.

One is made by Sanofi another by Roche. I wonder if this sanofi drug may impact GSK shares or their JV is just for a covid vaccine.

Just when i think GSK has bottomed, down she goes despite positive news recently. While my average is only £14 my PF is 5% down due to GSK.
Still positive and like the divi but a bounce at some point within my life time would be nice.
Worse to come in the UK for sure this week too.

Having read the finanicial report, the future looks like it should be good for this group. I have bought in this morning for a long hold. Hoping this should see £10 again sometime in 2021.

All of the above makes sense. I hindsight i wish i had waiting for this drop, i am almost a pound down just to gain a 48p divi.
However i will attempt to wait for the bottom and cost average down and buy some more. A good lesson for buying post-divi tho for me.

Good post. I too will be holding now for 300p which doesnt seem unreasonable once planes and cruise ships start moving. In the mean time i will enjoy investing some of my pension lump-sum to try and beat the banks. If i could get 5% on every holding i am content. Its working so far.
