Possibly a difficult question but were does anyone/everyone see the ceiling here once the 2 billion buybacks are completed. Forecasts range from 470 to 600.
Not really interested in the low divi but would take the capital gain and sell. Am 11% up already. Thank you.
Looking to take a quick profit?
Looking to hold for increased divi or buy backs.
Thoughts on SP ceiling by end of year.
Glad i held on to mine today tho.
My average is 715 so well down this morning. Will they recover back to over 7 quid.
Sold out today for a 12% profit. Be interested to see if it goes higher as ex div approaches.
I enjoy swing trading this share.
Hi all, i live in Edinburgh but am from the Midlands. Having been in the Standing order spoons the other day it was by far the busiest pub in the city. I am optimistic they will recover and do well while others flounder. I am cost averaging down but have no idea where the bottom is. Any graph studiers care to comment.
Was in Edinburgh city on the lash yesterday on a day off. 2 bigs spoons were doing good trade, looked pre-covid levels. The ****tail bars also doing good trade but the prices have shot up i would say.
There is demand there but not pre-covid demand in my opinion. Buying/Running the Brains group was not a good move i feel, unless they got it really cheap. Less customers already + increase in prices = less customers
Couple of % drop today so tempted to top up for the next 23p divi. Is the drop just down to US inflation fear, treasury bond returns and employment figures.
Has anyone tried the Hatherwood craft beer cans from Lidl for 99p. They used to be brewed for Lidl by Shepherds Neame but now brewed for them by Marstons.
I currently live in Edinburgh for work but am from the midlands.
The pubs here are not back to being normally busy, many folk are still not venturing out. Also, as a regular pub goer and real ale fan, the prices now up to 5 quid a pint will not help. My feelings are the pub trade will not recover as quickly as we hoped if at all.
Well i stayed in and didnt sell out despite being 14% up. The drop was greater than the divi as we now know. I let the price settle today and then bought some more. This bought my average down a bit but still 9% up and divi aswell. Will buy another dip if it goes lower.
Stalled at 2703 on T212. Do i buy more or wait for another drop. Decisions decisions.
Could it be the MM and institutions are driving the price down to buy cheaper ready for the big divi in 4 weeks time?
I am 14% up today on NG, contemplated selling out but decided to hold on and take the divi. Even assuming they drop the divi or more, i am still in profit. This will either be a good decision or not depending on whether they bounce back. I will try to buy the dip next week tho.
Looks like oil is going up this morning while tobacco is going down. Are the institutions selling one to buy the other?
Char333, i agree and ditched mine at about 1350 on a hunch a few days ago as i thought i could buy back in lower. Glad i did. May not bother and just stick to my BP shares as my average is low.
Never sell shell just doesnt apply anymore i think.
Sadanby, i agree and had a few more today in high 80s. Unless Bojo shuts the pubs again things can only improve.
I find it strange on here how folk poo their panties at a bit of news and the share drops 2p. Surely all the reasons to buy Rolls apply today the same as they did yesterday. I just keep buying 100 shares on every dip, so not a big investor but optimistic air travel will increase as well as their power plants etc becoming desirable.
I gave up trying to predict this SP and got out at about 1250 with an 80 quid loss, glad i did.
I love the idea of this company but with the massive SP fluctuations, this isnt for me.
Who knows were this will bottom.
Not moving in harmony today.
I think philip morris results out today, wonder if that could have an effect????
