I agree the nuclear side could end up a lot more profitable given what is required but from past experience unfortunately our government provide contracts for nuclear work but there is not massive profit in this at the moment but from countries further a field who knows ?

Astro that will never happen as the margins with any nuclear work especially government contracts are not great ,RR get most of there profit from Aerospace !

JB basically you worked you the area the business when it was Dee,Ed a job for life ,he business was funded as you know by us taxpayers and now t is a totally different your work ethic was hopefully different from today and unfortunately a lot of what we read on here is a very selfish approach to wanting everything but not accepting that there has to be change in the modern work environment, im not invested here at present because as usual the CWU only think that the PLC world does not work and it makes me laugh when you read all this nonsense about opinions n here who only want something but dont accept modern change in work , that’s why this business should never be put back to a nationalised way as the 70s proved it does not work and I only hope that the management and CWU can come to an agreement but I doubt it !

Anger your right in your assumptions some of us can remember the last situation regarding inflation decades ago so as you say you will always get this disparity with salaries. if it was down to CWU they would want everyone on the same salary it’s called running a business for those on higher salaries !
