JV Mill & GWMO Tailing Production stats17 Jul 2024 14:24
@ID78 Just updating my original 11-Jun-24 post numbers at this to get a sense of what is reasonable given what we know from RNSs ... summary posted & repeated for clarity below:
>OMCO tailings = 31,000 tons at 1.6g/ton gold (lets ignore silver)
> Gravity separation = 50% recovery and a further 30% maybe 35% can be recovered via Stage 2 leaching
>Commissioning at 35tons/day throughput
> Production at 200tons/day throughput
> Assume gold sale price @$2,300 ... POG is now $2,400 @16-Jul-24
> Assume toll processing & transport = 35% of revenue (including 10% refining charges)
Sum gold ounces recoverable = 31,000 *(1.6g/31.1)oz *50% = approx. 800oz via Stage 1 gravity
Sum £revenue = 800oz *$2,300/1.2 = £1.53m
Profit = circa £1m after assumed 35% costs or £530k (given it is a start-up so probably slow and/or costly)
Throughput 200tons/day = 4,400 tons/month operating 5days/week or 22days/month
Time to process = 31,000/4,400 = 7 months to process
Profit/month = £1m/ 7 months = £143k/month
If we assume it takes them 5 months to commission and upgrade to 200tons/day then can be done in 1 year delivering £1m profit versus £2.35m MCap (£3.6m @17-Jul-24). If it took £500k to upgrade to Stage 2 leaching then "depleted" 31k ore can then be run through to recover 30+% of original gold or roughly another £600k profit, but could be higher as transport costs would be negligible as tailing already on site and/or leaching recovery is higher.
All my simple musings & only REAL assumptions are
(1) Costs =35% of revenue, but clearly this is a best guesstimate including refiners 10% cut
(2) Mill steady-state production throughput of 200tpd is AFTER plant commissioning & upgrades
(3) Throughput/Month - one RNS says 5tons/hour & 70 hours/week and latest is 200tpd but no operating hours so assumed 5 days/week operation, but could easily be 7 days/week so my figures are likely conservative
(4) JV profit share - assuming any profit plowed back into Stage 2 leach vat plant upgrade top take recovery from 50% to 80% of input ore grade materials
(5)I have ignored silver recovery & revenue as presume will be an offset versus refining costs
