The news is they’re flying back from the Philippines today with a significant deal under their belts. A few T&Cs to finalise and a signature or two and it will be RNS worthy.

Years too late for what? I bet you the type of person who would say everything that can be invented has already been invented. There are numerous ways to make money in blockchain development. Do some research.

Isn’t the point and short sighted if your reasearch only goes as far as deciding if a crypto coin will make OBC money. There are many companies involved in disruptive technology and producing products and apps to support the new ledger style of data storage. The share price has been hammered because OBC hasn’t reported what offering they are working on which will generate income. A few small teaser projects as part of their R&D but nothing to get excited about yet. It may never come, just like buying a stock in an explorer drilling for oil. They may strike oil, they may not. If you buy before results and they strike oil, you gain maximum upside. Buy after the news has landed, there’s still money to be made but not as much as the brave who took the gamble. Screaming buy at these levels.

Backing up comments isn’t difficult, responding to counter arguments with no basis to posters who only seem to follow BMD around posting drivel is pointless. (As is this post) Twitter accounts by the same users with similar ID which also only have disruptive tweets on anything BMD has done. I’d call that a vendetta, it’s not a constructive discussion.

Hi Mee, I did have quite a large holding of OBC and still do in AFN. Bought a few in the dip below 60p and will add further if still below £1.20 when funds available. The SP has taken a hammering and there does seem to be a few people who have a vendetta against anything BMD get involved in but this only creates buying opportunities for the brave.

Ok, you twist the word ‘develop’ a coin but there is still a lot of development involved in launching a coin especially if you are going to offer a mobile wallet and try to get joe public using it rather than just crypto nerds. A Philippines exchange has already agreed to list it.

Hi steel, manilacoin hasn’t been officially released. This isn’t due for a couple of weeks. It’s live as it needs to go live for test mining. The lead developer has been posting his work on a forum. We are finding this out a couple of weeks ahead of official launch. Manila is a project I really wanted to work on because coins that make the world a better and fairer place is important. With a mobile wallet this Manila coin could fuel growth in Philippines in a big way I hope to make a mobile wallet for Manila at the first opportunity because 86% of households there do not have a bank account

Interesting to see OBC working with developers elsewhere to develop new coins. If just one of these coins succeed........ Manilacoin not even released yet and crypto forums already buzzing about it. Waiting for the white paper on the new national crypto coin. This has leaked and mining pools have already pushed the hashrate up as they see its potential.

I suppose you’d have to meet Clem to realise he is not a typical CEO. He is very knowledgeable on blockchain workings. It’s obvious by some of the subjects he touched on that he is working on a couple of pretty trick blockchain solutions for industry traceability and accountability. The money in blockchain is being being able to offer a cheaper, quicker and simpler solution to tracking and traceability. Then selling this solution to companies spending millions per year on administering a basic function of logistics and/or transactions. After listening to some of Clems presentations and interviews, reading between the lines, I see three areas Clem is probably working. Full scale Mining for POW stake building. Ledger solutions in the finance industry. Traceability in logistics. If any one of these come off........ One thing I do feel he is wrong is where the price of Bitcoin is going. He sees the bottom sub 3,000usd. There will have to be a widespread rejection of crypto by banks and governments for it to take such a hammering. I’m seeing the opposite, especially when the likes of Barclays joins forces with Coinbase. 2018 will be a volatile year but ultimately bitcoin and etherum will be accepted by more banks and institutions which will drive prices upward. OBC and AFN are screaming hold and buy on dips for 12 months. IMHO

There’s definitely a well thought out plan and OBC/ADVFN team are a safer bet than a lot of other crypto/blockchain startups on AIM. Plus1coin is creating a lot more interest than is being reported. They are quietly introducing plus1 on various forums, mining has increased 4 fold and trading has recently jumped in volume. They are also well respected stateside. Don’t be surprised to see further stake building in AFN, Watch this space. If you only put your money into one blockchain/crypto play, OBC/AFN is going to the moon. ;-) So few shares available, the next update, like the quiet launch of plus1, will surprise.

Great night, over-ran an hour til after 11. Clem was on form and surprisingly knowledgeable for a ceo. Had an amazing debate on PoS vs PoW. Even more confident in my OBC holding and will be adding. PoW is definitely Clems crypto of choice hence all the mining rigs. £1m buys a lot of overseas mining capacity

Interesting orders on the bid during auction. Orders above MMs bid 5x NMS Woildnt want to be out of this over the weekend (First time I’ve ever wrote that) 😆

There should be an substantial update before 14th March. It will be difficult for Clem to have a constructive meet and greet unless he can talk openly about what they are working on. Nice to see the negative posts re-appearing. All too common practice across the boards, We always see volume and price rise when the negative posters appear. Hold onto your shares, ignore the noise, it’s about to get interesting........

Yep, old news but to give BMD some credibility, he recently tweeted there would be news of an appointment imminent. Looking forward to his next update. ;-)

Large buys pushing price up 9%, very few sell driven trades. The 13k trade a definite buy which pushed the price up at 9:25ish. Can sell in 10k tranches without going NT, can’t buy in volume. I’d say the market is very happy with the appointment and can see the benefits of having Bill onboard. Roadmap on its way.

Highlander, you’re obviously not PLC material. A non exec director comes in all shapes and sizes. As a non exec, he is not on the board for operational decisions, he won’t be setting the business alight with new innovations. He is no more knowledgeable than the guys at OBC. His 30 years of experience in online computing will have brought him a wealth of connections. Sometimes a non exec comes on board to bring a new network of people who may not otherwise have been accessible. A network of like minded experts in the states. Where the blockchain revolution is taken a lot more seriously. You must be blind to not see the benefits of having such an icon on board. As I said before. Now this appointment is completed. It leaves the path clear to start the updates on OBC block chain developments. As early as next week.........

Interesting appointment to the board. It’s not easy to convince such a heavy hitter onto your board. He doesn’t need the money, he’s already minted. He obviously sees an opportunity to be part of something at the forefront of his field and keep his name in the floodlights. Awesome Animation Ltd also set up by Clem and co is also an interesting development with this appointment. Now they have his appointment signed and sealed, OBC can start the news flow.
