Fellas,
When the SP was around 2.20p, we saw a great upwards trend towards Feb where the price was around 3.5p, around a 60% rise - This may be due to investors expecting good feedback from the FDA, as well as a bit of ramping and publicity for the company on proactive investors, LSE etc...
Agreed, the news that was received on 31/03/2017 (regarding FDA) was disappointing, due to this being a huge milestone which needed to be achieved. However, it isn't all doom and gloom.
The price dropped dramatically to around 1.60p (-45% from the 3.03 close previously) but it also showed support form investors at 1.65 with the price rising 25% to finish around 2.05 (admittedly, still 30% down). - This is interesting, due to the fact that there was still a lot of support despite almost a 45% drop in the price. I feel resistance will be around the 2.7p mark for a while and the SP will fluctuate between 1.8p - 2.7p until further updates on news comes through (hold and top up)
However, this tells us two things;
1) Investors know that the company has future potential and they are willing to add at low prices for long-term future growth instead of pulling all of their capital out. (look at the 22k after-hours buy, someone is clearly confident and adding to perhaps a much larger holding).
2) when OXP satisfy the FDA's trial requirements it will then go through without any objections and it prepares the company for future developments, it is in the phase 3 trials as well, so once the requirements have been satisfied the drug should be marketed fairly soon after?
From the fundamentals front: OXP reported that the cash and cash equivalents = £21.9m (compared to 23.1 the previous year) with a loss before tax of £1.9mil (better than the £3.9mil the previous year).
It also states that OXP "continue to explore further business development opportunities". "The Group remains well-funded to complete this next stage of work and looks forward to providing further updates."
The current MCAP stands at 24.66m with the SP at 2.05 (which is around the current equivalent of cash in the bank according to the latest final results on the 10/03/17)
As stated by Zak Mir in this video posted back in January '17 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzDrr7eVsfY "So I suppose the upside potential of this company could be massive if you hit the jackpot, which I suppose you won't have to do very often?"
It is just a waiting game for us all now fellas, have to keep topping up on the dips as and when they come and set ourselves exit points (top/slice) as well (which is very hard to do when the SP is rising, I know).
Finally,
I still feel that this has VERY good longer-term (2/5years) growth potential- Was in here around Jan'13 and sold out at double figures towards the start of April'15, so I am very surprised to see the price so low again, especially the drops that were recorded on Friday (31st). Hopefully history will re
