Dh, that’s why so much effort goes in here on both sides, whether it’s rampers or de-rampers the stakes are massive. Freddie, indeed, I was in PMO when one of its creditors built up a 17% undeclared short against the company. They used their leverage to ultimately cause the company to fail. All they got was a relatively small fine and a slap on the wrist from the FCA.

The big boys don’t play by the rules and as you say it affects all shares.

I don’t disagree, but over many years of investing, one thing always stands out, pi’s are are the whipping boys and nothing is ever what it seems. Manipulation is rife and has been increasing over the years. Anybody who says different isn’t a Pi and more than likely works for the ones who are guilty of it. A free and fair market is just an illusion.

Why do so many profess to owning shares in Ggp then spend so much time bashing it!
If you don’t believe in it then sell, simples.

Agreed GoGreen, there is indeed some very well informed posters, but also some traders playing the game.

The part where you say if we believe our investment is good or not, only serves to question why many post on here. Whether someone is a ramper or de-ramper (ie someone who refuses to hear the bad and those who refuse to hear the good). The rest of us true Pi’s sit somewhere in the middle and genuinely want Ggp to do well.

Nobody, and I mean nobody should take anything that said on here as gospel. Basic rule of investing is do your own research.

When the resource upgrade hits (which could be anytime now) the mood will improve and everyone will be backslapping again.

Having watched SD’s recent interview I found it a damp Squib, rather than the barnstormer I was hoping for. The poorly timed cash grab has damaged the share price short term and handed the initiative to the shorters. How much lower will they drag us!
Massive own goal, and how anyone can be content watching us drop is beyond me.

Is it any wonder our mood is low and we are swamped with naysayers. They smell blood.

Red, I have never liked it when a CEO is asked about a cash raise and plays it down only to do the exact opposite. He will no doubt have his reasons and are probably likely to be positive but why is Joe public always the last to know. Added to that many Pi’s will not have the chance through the incredibly short time scale. All shareholders should be treated the same, but this is seldom the case for the likes of us.
As you say it’s a small raise and will be forgotten about with good news. GLA

Many of us have no problem with them raising cash, but it’s not unreasonable to question why. Since when is a CEO not answerable for his actions!
In my view it’s been shocking the way this has been done. Ask yourself this, if the share rises in the next few months as expected then they could have got considerably more cash.
Would it not have been better to at least put the Rns out first thing this morning and giving people more time to consider and sort things.
This is more about how this has been handled rather than the deed itself.

The only possible reason that makes any sense to this is if NCM have nearly spent the agreed capital on drilling and have asked Ggp to cough up it’s fair share going forward.

SD has gone down in my estimations, so much for increasing shareholder value. Was he not asked about this recently and laughed it off by saying we are well funded.
He obviously doesn’t expect the share price to rise any time soon.

Starbright, in your assessment that all is not as it seems with the buys and sells, then of course you are right. However it’s funny how you discount dirty trick, manipulation etc as we see it. Given as you say it’s difficult to determine what is a buy and what’s a sell then it would go hand in glove that MM’s and the like would have no problem in taking full advantage of this situation to manipulate the direction. Only a fool would believe everything is black and white. Most things are controlled one way or another.
