Happy, the appraisal well is a box ticking exercise, we covered this on our forum many moons ago. I believe the plan would be to combine the appraisal well with the actual development of Darwin and sell the GC that we extract.
The more cost effective development plan is also being revised, as noted in the final results RNS.
As for RKH, good luck to them, they got a nice result with the £150m, but they don’t have the cash yet. They also don’t have our gas condensate and this is a greater prize than the thick black stuff, so there’s no practical comparison between BOR and RKH, other than the Falkland Islands.
I hope everyone down there does well, but my focus is on BOR.

We all have an opinion on our company value and my own view is that any takeover would need to be at least £600m, or £1 per share.
There’s no way BOR is being sold for anything close to £200m, I wouldn’t even call that a starting bid.
Our BOD have not held on for a bargain to be given away, not a chance.
My opinion of course, let’s see what happens.

Jpneb, it’s quite straight reforests really. We were already feeling back up with a buyer scooping up shares at 3.5p. Then RKH announced a significant award for the legal issue that were fighting and their sp more than doubled this week. So the falklands is back on the map as an area that is in the process of going into production with a well financed company and partnership with this Israel boys.
My feeling is that some of that share increase for RKH holders has been invested in BOR as we expect to take of very soon.

Abby out dies beg the question o of value though, and it’s not the first time we’ve crossed this bridge.
Rhetorical question, but how do you value you a company with an asset like Darwin and the rest of the acreage with potentially billions more barrels !!!
Short answer is I have no idea, but I’m looking forward to finding out :)

Hi Gus, I can’t sleep with this hellacious heat so thought I’d check in.
Speaking of heat it’s interesting alright, I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next, as I’m sure many of our longs are as well. God knows we’ve waited long enough.
Next move from the BOD should be an update on the revised drilling plan with the reduced number of sub sea rigs at a cheaper CAPEX cost. That’ll get folks attention. And who knows, perhaps news of a finance package, or a farm in, or even a buy out.
That’s the most exciting part, we have a number of very real options on the table and any of them could happen tomorrow, or the next day etc.

Hi Gus, well said regarding the SP activity range. I don’t see much happening until we hit at least 5p, and 6p+ for any significant movement of shares.
It was nice to see todays rise from the low 3’s so hopefully it’s not just a traders sp8ke and continues to rise.
Either way I’m holding fir far more than single figures so let’s see what happens.

Hi Gus, we’ve got a proper Mexican standoff going on with hardly anyone selling and the buyers are holding out for stock in the 2’s, with not a lot on offer.
My view is that the massive profits from the oil barons that we have seen this week are adding more wind to our sail and along with the global supply shortage, BP or Shell etc may well throw a billion at us to get our liquid gold out of the ground and into the market.
Almost £7B profit from BP in Q2, F me, what are they waiting for !!!

Hi guys; just looking for some clarity on the subject of LNG as from what I gather we do not have this at all. LNG and gas condensate are not the same thing. Or am I misinformed ?
Our GC is a prized asset, but I do wonder why we get posts about LNG on here.
Any knowledgeable thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Less than £240 of shares sold today and it’s not surprising at this price.
If memory serves the next move should be to have the revised drilling plan evaluated by an independent industry expert.

Hi longs, have you noticed the 250k buyer grabbing lumps at around 3.5p ?
Could be our man from Calgary as it’s usually around £9k value and never enough to lift the price.
Or it’s just random investors grabbing a good deal.

Hi Gus, that’s the problem exactly, nothing is happening, other than market conditions.
We’ve got an asset that is very probably worth billions and it’s not like we’re making more oil and gas, what we have is all we have. One of us will be hanging around another 50 million years for our remains to produce more,
so it’s now or never.
