There was some chat recently about Hydrogen and it's likely emergence as an energy source. The link below is interesting. There is a market emerging. A 4 billion dollar plant in Namibia for example. But the only H worth having is green H, which has to be created using renewable energy. and as we all know, where there's RE, there's energy storage. So H is not necessarily a threat to the lithium market, even though H is in itself effectively an energy storage tech. Rather it seems to me likely to emerge as one part of a mix of clean energy types.

Just for interest. I don't want the board to become overwhelmed by discussion on this topic.

@ Money111 Well we hope it's MS/DA. At the least, DA will be suggested as a solution to large scale IoT deployment by MS to clients, especially given the scarcity of competition. But it's inflating things to state that MS and DA are moving together.

The point is that S/Azure IoT expansion has very good implications for DA.

On the other hand, if DA does sell for at least several hundred millions, and the others follow suite, Terns share price would significantly move far north of where it is now. And I will have missed out on a sum of money which, for me at my age, would have been utterly life changing.

But you are absolutely certain that this will not happen. Although if it did, would you feel any remorse for persuading me to sell out? By taking you seriously I would have decimated my retirement and my sons would stand to inherit little if anything.

This is the responsibility you carry by insisting so confidently that this share is a fraud. You OK with that? Are you that certain you're right? Because if I finally accept what you say and do as you suggest, and it turns out that you were wrong, I would have to blame you. And I'm sure there are ways of finding out who you are. The connection between MS and DA has been recognised for a couple of years. And between DA and Entrust, and Intel and others. That connection being that these companies either use or recommend Keyscaler.

All investments carry risk. From a little AIM startup to Enron. And we all have to assess that risk. AIM startups, of which Tern is one, are especially risky, but Tern's risk is spread across 5 different startups, each with their on potential. Assessing that potential is partly a process of industry (tech) knowledge, part intuition, part reading widely the industry media and part simply watching the progress of the investees themselves - mentions by customers and their own tweets. (Investees are not listed s are not obliged to publish financial data other than 12 months old stuff at Companies House. 12 months is a long time in the life of a startup.)

Doing this will lead each of us to form an opinion. And we either decide to invest or we don't. Those whose opinions are that Tern's investees represent fair odds and good potential will invest. Some of us believe so much that we commit the naysayers ultimate sin of being enthusiastic. Some of us feel it's too risky and go away.

The worst of us see it as too risky but still hang around whining and trying to be superior, mansplaining to the proles why their opinions are clearly wrong. YTee is one of these. Take him seriously if you want, but to do so would be no better than to take seriously the guy on twitter who claims 30B value for DA. YTee is just the other end of the BS spectrum.

This time last year everyone as placing bets on what date before Christmas. Christmas 2020. I was new. I'm still here waiting, with mush opportunity lost over the 12 months. If the price were higher, I'd probably jump ship here now.

EVs are only a part of the clean energy revolution. Blue hydrogen is a non starter in my opinion as it defeats the object of the exercise. But green H has a future... in local area heating grids, in powering ships and trains, and maybe trucks and buses, and in local electricity generation to name a few. But it has to be green. Take a look at what's happening in Australia (of all places) re green H (see Province Resources and Total Energy)

I agree that H fuel cell powered domestic cars are probably unlikely, or at the best will be a niche market. But waste is a huge worldwide problem (even given that it needs to be eliminated if cities are actually to be sustainable) and waste-to-energy plants producing H from high temperature pyrolysis, where the H itself powers the furnace (eg see Powerhouse Energy), is another possible source apart from water electrolysis.

Anyway, the entire debate surrounding H is moot at the moment. Whilst the Li market is exploding. So let's stay focused on EMH.

The H market will happen (and is, slowly) as well as the LI market, but the latter is far more mature. And the emergence of H is not an argument against investing in Li, not least EMH. The reason you're seeing Nel's success is because there are relatively few players at the moment, which is why I prefer HydrogenPro as they're further back down the development curve. Nel's already at more than 2 billion eur. You might double your money if you're lucky in the next 12 months, but you're equally likely to do that here, at least.

Well someone's been buying EMH big time recently. And NEL is already worth a fortune.. (I think HydrogenPro is a better bet).

The returns will happen here. The problem is time.

Yes there are people who get over enthusiastic too. Just ignore them, look at what the investee companies (Device Authority, Fundamental VR, Talking Medicine, InVMA and Wyld Networks) and judge for yourself.
