74.7p for me please
Deferred tax is an asset because it avoids tax on future income. Nothing to show VOD future income at risk in a regulated market. Just look at 3 VOD UK competition commission enquiry and EU dragging their feet on 3 O2 merger legal interpretation. The regulated market is here for along time yet and so is mobile connectivity/internet.
MDV will deliver the cashflow (as guided) and you are getting 11% yield for a long time (unless the SP rises..). With no short term liquidity issues, the macro economics will be back to some kind of normal where there is a sensible interest rate/ pricing of risk etc and thats already clearly forming like a storm cloud for non performing loans etc in other industries.
As for goodwill, VODs brand value is in excess of €20Bn and a global lead, hence E& interest.
Think VOD is moving toward software defined networking. Certainly more tech than machinery. 5G more efficient at using the connectivity I guess
'Buy rating maintained by broker and a revised figure over double the current price.'
If I had the cash, I would double up at this low price. Anyways, lovely dividend shortly.
Eyes down for a positive MDV and outlook.
Or damp squib?

CPI lower than interest rate and FED not reducing interest rates till 2024!
BT been working on that for a while. Definitely something happening at BT and here shortly. Hope we get a good priced bid and end this misery
MDV will be out on her ar#e if she doesnt deliver something material in the next 3 months or so. Jansen looks like he would be available. Have they really let her stay to deliver the cashflow for dividends year on year by sweating the assets etc. Or can she really get rid of underperforming assets for cash/ financial reengineering?

'An E& RNS would lift sentiment'
Actually, a Spain RNS would too. As JPM are working on this at the moment, I cant imagine they are being paid for more than a few months work, so an RNS may be due before H1 reporting.
I suppose private equity interest still an option with interest rates on the rise. Maybe another version of 3 VOD UK and fewer operators, consolidation? MDV can then say VOD is a force for good and not just a UK phenomenon
'E& can be the only glimmer of hope here'
VOD looks like an infrastructure company and they are getting hammered this week because of index linked interest payments, div affordability etc. But VOD is not the same. The coupon averages c3% and FCF badged for future div payments. H1 confirmation will push VOD higher relative to the rest of the ftse100. An E& RNS would lift sentiment that all is going swimmingly
