The MOST important thing in any war...proxy war......simulation of war.......historical wars.......is resources and ability to trade. if China want to continue to flex their muscles building an army to keep the USA honest then they will buy any and all resources they can, this is small peanuts cash wise so its a no brainer.........

In addition, if they have a company that is the one of the largest employers in Sri Lanka, that has mining capabilities AND is working on upgrading the PORT AND HARBOUR for larger vessels, in a VERY strategic part of the worlds oceans......why wouldnt they do it......

Hi Anton, as you know i have also seen and been victim to this too many times to mention over the years, however, i played it this time.......and it worked, the theory you mention there may be correct but whatever it is the pattern over the last 5ish years was too frequent to ignore. so i sold and will buy back if / when we see 32.5 / 32.7 and sell again at 34+ which i think will be next wednesday / thursday once it settles. i think this is the only way to play Tullow....unfortunately i am of the opinion that this is what the professionals are doing here and have been for ages, it was guys like us that worked their propaganda and hope...........the fundamentals here dont mean a thing......and they are fantastic, the company really is sitting on a cash cow from now on in but its just us peasants that notice this....surely not, so what is it??? it has to be getting kept down for a reason......the debt was blamed for poor SP, but look at the reduction of that in short order, phenomenal effort on that front, bonds?? oh yeah we bought back £££Ms of those at a cheap deal as well.....i dont understand it so im not going to try anymore.....GL mate,

Think what you like, nothing to me. this board used to be good constructive, motivating camaraderie . i guess that because we were all hopeful this was the one.....now its just sniping, namecalling , aggressive and not at all constructive. do i want a medal.....for what, actually making money??? again i said i was very lucky and if you look back at the historicals i was given a hard time (maybe rightly so) for giving you guys the heads up on both CMET and ORCA. 440k share of ORCA did indeed make me more than 1%, i then went even further in and gained on quick turnround.

i will repeat....my post wasnt gloating, it was mearly saying i was back in with a decent amount, and a hi to the long termers who ive posted and communicated with through the years..............so, dont care, say what you want.

i got back in at 30.......i just couldnt help myself. its no fun reading this board or commenting if you have no skin in the game, different this time though, i made a decent amount from my insane gamble on CMET and ORCA.......i was sweating though, that was all of my pension funds.

i have put the majority into steady eddies with good dividends (boring) i know.. thats my retirement sorted, im not gloating, i was very very lucky and i dont recommend it........its a massive gamble, again, i was very lucky.

but...i kept 10% to play with and can afford to lose it ( that wasnt the case 4 months ago lol) when everything was in here.

so the point is im going to try to play the trading / guessing game on tullow, and my strategy is this............

when i think its going to go up i sell and when i think it will go down i buy.........because for 5 years i have got every single guess and promise and wishful thinking 100% wrong with this bloody annoying mistress that you just cant leave.

I agree buddy. Nothing has changed apart from us opening the door for other parties....if the Chinese are interested you can make a safe bed the middle easy are as well, why???? Because they can, buying resources is a sound strategic long term plan, they can drop $100m from their wallet and not notice. The spectacular mega city projects will need shed loads of resources for ever........

Also, if the Chinese pulled out we would legally need to be notified with an RNS.....dont forget, we OWN the company, there is also nothing published by LB to say they have withdrawn,all I can find is 10 days ago a small update saying they were confident of finalising a deal and that the potential resources here would be good for 50 years at current expected mining rates,

The massive swing in the exchange rate may be another factor. Don't sweat it , everyone wants resources....and it will only get more competitive

OR..........the chinese group offer to buy the whole shebang for 20p per share and they have the licences and knowhow for approximately £62M and they save £20M.........its a no brainer for me.......unless im being stupid.

In my naivety is it perhaps we set the exclusivity for this deals completion as the 31st december 2023 and if we had just allowed it to continue or extend it then we would look desperate, we have ended exclusivity but we havent ended the communications or dealings with this group. we have just allowed additional interested parties to throw their hat in the ring. this may either end up with the chinese pushing on faster or offer better terms or another enters with better terms...........i dont see a negative.

i think that the directors expected a mass surge in share price and they are as dumbfounded as the rest of us with yesterdays tanking (im down £70k from peak yesterday to todays price).

this was stated as being "transformational" for the company and it has tanked......they are sweating as well as raising cash on a ****ty share price is not easy hence the investor update i think. im not only disappointed in this price im kicking myself for not joining the exodus......16p.a share, after the best rns in their history......wtf is going on here. ????

Ok i give up....i have absolutely no clue on who or how shares are valued...the best and biggest RNS in the companies history (of great news) and it finishes down!!!
