RE: The Cycle10 Dec 2023 09:42
The difference this time as I’ve been saying for 6 months+ is these results will be compared with last Q4 which was a constant barrage of Media fear due to energy bills, petrol prices, food inflation, cost of living but the NO1 was postal strikes customers were not willing to risk using online, those that did many received refunds as parcels did not arrive & we are talking overall £millions lost to THG due to those strikes. Let’s also not also forget the Whey price I presume we locked in a few months ago at its lows is half the price we would have paid 18 months ago for the same Christmas period 2022. I agree for the last 2 years results everyone has believed it will be better this time posting all the ‘smashed it’ staff posts and I admit I believed it also. So I am super sceptical of THG results especially when it was reiterated last time. But this time I actually believe it would be close to impossible to not beat Q4 last year…So long as the websites are operational and the Autostore robots are packing a Gorilla could run this operation and beat Q4 last year.. IMO (Still a bit twitchy though as it is THG)!! Obviously the potential capital event will drive the SP into results so IF they do deliver we will have momentum on two fronts… GLA LTH
