@NEDHAMMER – In short ‘yes’, number of shares get divided by 20, SP gets multiplied by 20.

I believe the 1,770 figures is for the six months to end of Jul.20, not “this year”.

And the first DBX only rolled off a production line in early Jul.20.

So, it is pretty hard to sell a car that you haven’t built. ;-)

The real test of the DBX will be a full year and/or Post Covid-19 lock down restrictions.

I’ve previously owned shares via:
- Management/Staff Buyout
- Staff Save As You Earn Share Schemes
- Staff Share Bonus Schemes

But AML is my first share purchase as an alternative to traditional savings.

So, this is just the kind of advice a novice investor needs.

@Bristolcupid – A belated thanks for posting the AML Company Secretary email the other day.
I contacted AML and they also suggested ringing Equiniti for a unique share holder reference number.
Unfortunately, when I spoke to Equiniti, they only do this for those who trade with them (I use X-O).

@TraderAE – As per the above, I then rang X-O who do provide a ‘Proxy Service’ for an additional fee.

As it turns out, I will not now get the chance to follow the meeting live, so didn’t following it up.

I believe the consolidation needs to be approved by the AML General Meeting on Friday, 4th December. So, subject to that approval, yes, it is happening.

So, apologies for my belated ‘Thanks and no worries’ in relation to FruitcakeGate. ;-)

I agree with your point about the timing of Stroll’s Sunday Times piece not being a coincidence.

I also think that in Stroll’s world, making your pals money is seen as a good thing to do.
(After all, they can already buy pretty much anything they want by themselves.)

The question, for me at least, is will the rest of us be able to get a small slice of this.

Whether Stroll’s SP target of above £6 was pre, or post, consolidation was raised at the time.

However, yesterday, @MFGX’s ‘Food for thought’ post included the following:
“Remember, the SP was at 80p so this should result in a £16 SP.
That is the benchmark to measure against post consolidation.”

I am happy to admit some of the small print of AML’s RNS/Prospectus is beyond my wit.

But is @MFGX really saying that Stroll’s £6-8 target is around half of a post consolidation SP?

As it seems odd to me that Stroll would use his first major AML article to boast about that.

Similarly, I can’t see Mercedes becoming involved in a “Bernie Madoff's ponzi scam” either.

So, whilst I genuinely have no idea where the AML SP is going, I am hold for now.

As it turns out, by chance, I ended up with a round number of shares that easily divides by 20.

However, while I’m here, can I question your self-appointed role at this AML BB’s Lord Protector?

Yesterday, you posted “…the rest are fruitcakes…”.

I may be many things, but a fruitcake isn’t one of them, ergo, you are in fact a liar. ;-)

Similarly, you wrote “I have never nor would ever say how many shares I hold”.

Except, that a while back you did post exactly how many shares you held.

You then said that post was a lie, as you were just joking/baiting/trolling someone else.

A similar joking/baiting/trolling lie was your interest in buying a nice/expensive watch.

You are correct that no one should take a BB like this too seriously, or believe everything they read.

But, in the immortal words of Sergeant Hulka, in the movie Stripes, “Lighten up Francis.” ;-)

@delmia – Sorry, but I don’t follow your logic.

Surely, the chance of a 100% increase in the share price is the same?

35,000 shares x 160p = £56,000

1,750 shares x 3200p = £56,000

Either the value of the company has doubled, or it hasn’t.

The ratio of number of shares and share price is the same.

Or, I might be completely missing the point.

@c2645sg - If I read your original posts correctly, your question was...

How can a company that is not making a profit pay the interest payments?

The answers you were given explained that the reason AML will make a loss is because they are paying the interest.

So they start by making a profit from selling cars and end up will a loss after covering the interest on their debt.

Maybe I’m looking at this the wrong way round, but I see the 62p as nothing more than a fixed price.

My (limited) understanding is that Mercedes will be buying new shares at 62p, not existing ones.

So, AML have agreed to sell a fixed number of shares, for a fixed price, payable in instalments.

If the SP is higher at the time, as @Nevas says, it just makes it a better deal for MB.

As any other potential investors willing to pay more for AML shares in the future, don’t have the MB technology (especially EV), that AML are getting access to today, for the discounted SP in the future.
