RE: Full year results 25 Feb 202130 Jan 2021 12:39
@Stille - Sorry, only got time for a quick (ish) replyβ¦
The reason it takes 7 weeks is there are quite a few steps before collating and present figures.
Iβm sure Iβve missed a few, but here goes.
- Stock take
- WIP assessment
- Accruals for work done by external suppliers, but not invoiced
- Debtors analysis and any bad debt provisions / write offs
- Collate the actual annual account figures
- Run comparisons of figures with budgets, forecasts and previous yearsβ actuals
- Investigate anomalies and cross check variance analysis
- Internal audit
- External audit
- Preparation of accounts to be published, plus associated graphs, tables, photos, etc.
- Final proof reading and corrections of accounts to be published
- Present figures
Clearly, I may have spent some time in a Finance Department in the past. { Wink }
But, jokes aside, have a read of the AML annual accounts and ask the same question in a different way.
How much work do you think goes into collating and presenting figures with 7 weeks of the year end?
Hope that helps.
Cheers, Paul. :)
