RCG introduces FxGuard Windows Logon to Dell's cross-channel platforms RCG Holdings Limited (AIM:RCG, HKSE:802), an international provider of biometric and RFID products and solution services with a primary focus in the Asia Pacific markets, is pleased to announce that Dell Global Business Center Sdn. Bhd. ("Dell"), has qualified RCG's FxGuard Windows Logon 7.0 software as a partner product and launched the software product on its online portal, which targetsboth the consumer and small and medium business markets. FxGuard Windows Logon 7.0 features advanced facial recognition algorithms for computer login, and is solely developed by RCG. The facial authentication application delivers instant identity examination for computer access authorisation and has been certified by Microsoft for compatibility with its latest operating system, Windows 7. By pre-registering the user's face onto the system, customers are only required to reveal their faces to the web camera for identity verification and login. Other features include providing access history reports, using facial recognition to login to email accounts and to encrypt and decrypt important files. The process is simple, accurate, fast and ensures high security protection whilst eliminating the risks of password theft. According to Gartner research, a global leading information technology researcher and advisor, the worldwide shipment of personal computers totaled 308.3 million units in 2009, and is predicted to reach 376.8 million units in 2010, at an annual growth rate of 19.2%. It has also reported that the most lucrative software segments through 2014 include virtualisation, security, data integration/data quality and business intelligence. Dato' Lee Boon Han, CEO of RCG commented: "We are extremely pleased to be working with Dell. This demonstrates the exciting opportunities for RCG and reaffirms our position as a leading biometric solutions provider in the global marketplace. The comprehensive facial recognition system empowers customers with tools that enhance security and convenience. The Group will continue to deliver high quality software services and looks forward to further collaboration in the future." Dell's Asia Pacific & Japan Senior Marketing Manager, Mr. Ooi Tean Hong commented: "Dell has qualified RCG's FxGuard Windows 7.0 and approved to sell this quality product at dell.com.my on both Consumer and Small Medium Business segment. Dell looks forward to growing this partnership with RCG with long term business expansion as a clear objective and anticipates that more of RCG's products will be launched at Dell's online portal across Asia Pacific and Japan regions soon."
