ASSESSMENT

With this update Gaming Realms has demonstrated that it can deliver consistently strong trading, with the statement following on from a number of positive announcements earlier this year. This is yet further vindication of last year’s decision to focus on the high margin Licensing division. In our audio interview with Finance Director Mark Segal back in April we speculated that the company could be a beneficiary of the lockdown situation, with people staying in their homes having more time to play games, so it is good to see a positive outcome on that front.

For the full year to December 2020 our current forecasts are for maiden adjusted EBITDA of just under £1.5 million. However, given that today’s update confirmed that £1.2 million has been delivered in the first half alone we will be updating our forecasts following the upcoming release of the interim results. Numbers for the next two years are also subject to review but we continue to expect strong growth in 2021 and 2022 as the benefit of operational gearing and the addition of further licensing partners comes through.

Gaming Realms shares currently trade at 21.3p, up from a recent low of 4.45p seen in March this year and at a 4 year high. Our target price on our current forecasts is 25.37p, implying further upside potential even before we revise our numbers to consider the better than expected trading. Our stance remains at Conviction Buy.

Another massive late reported trade from after hours on Tuesday for nearly £90k. Plus another of £22k from earlier in the day. Sizeable positions being taken in advance of the interims.

Someone paid just under 20p per share for £70,000 worth of GMR after hours on Monday (trade just reported above). To invest that much money at top price they must have great confidence that the forthcoming interims will see a favourable reaction from the market. Hoping to see the back of the teens for good after that.

Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, Jumpman will have access to Gaming Realms’ entire Slingo Originals portfolio. Hi Lincs, This company has effectively had a rebirth recently, completely changing its business model, so it has almost started from scratch again, apart from already having its portfolio of games, which it continues to add to. Slingo is a golden egg that's going to keep on laying (see the recent article I posted). Anyone who is thinking of exiting before this company starts to reach its full potential is going to miss a great investment opportunity IMO. I'd say give it 3 years minimum, or just stay longer-term for the dividends, unless of course we get bought out in the meantime. Either way, I'm nowhere close to thinking of cashing in. Way too much upside now after a very long wait for us LTH. This is the sort of investment opportunity you dream of finding on AIM. It just took a long time for the rebirth to happen but this is no time to be thinking of exiting, not when we've only just got going. GLA.

So, where can Slingo go from here? It's clear that the public's appetite for alternative forms of bingo is not going anywhere. Companies such as Bongo's Bingo, which organizes live bingo events with DJs, raves, and celebrities such as Kelis, reported a record £7 million in profits last year, despite only having a handful of employees.

Meanwhile, online Slingo providers are seeing record levels of interest and engagement from iGaming fans. In fact, industry insider and former CEO of Gaming Realms Patrick Southon has said that international expansion of the game, especially into Scandinavian markets, is likely to be a big driver of revenue moving forward.

As we have seen from the recent releases of themed Slingo games that combine elements of it with other games like Deal or No Deal or Monopoly, it is likely that future releases of similar nature are on the cards too.

It may even be the case that Slingo platforms follow in the footsteps of other casino pioneers, introducing elements such as virtual reality, live streamed gameplay, and even AR into their releases.

Whatever happens, though, we seem to be witnessing the creation of a new iGaming classic.

Unfortunately it's not a key date anymore since latest RNS has changed the goal posts. They've just issued themselves with more (and better) options and extended the date.

It will be interesting to watch the price action here next week. The latest RNS reported two of the directors vesting options that were granted to them in the original Articles of Association. They were obliged to exercise these options within 7 years (before 1st August 2020) or lose them. In addition to these shares, there was also provision for the directors to be granted options over a ton of B shares if certain conditions were met.

Extract from Articles of Association:
On 1 August 2020, if the Market Price is not more than 20p, each B Share shall be automatically converted into Deferred Shares in accordance with Article 10.1 with immediate effect.

If I'm reading it right, the deferred shares are utterly worthless. They have no voting rights, no dividend rights and if the company is bought out they only have a nominal value of £1 in total per holding.

You've got to think that with it edging closer towards the 20p lately, there could be some determined moves over the next few days to either push it over or hold it back.

As an aside, I wonder (and this is pure wishful thinking) if we might possibly lose our consistent seller after 1st August. We can but dream!

Hey redjester, great to hear from you. Really appreciate your thoughts. I'm here from the pdx days and I've bought and sold as gut feeling dictated. I don't think this share could ever repay me what it owes me from the pdx days, but if I ignore that and look at what I've paid since I switched into this into my ISA it's between 4.7p and 12p. I don't want to think about the past so much as not sell up here until they've reached their potential. It's been a long haul and I feel we've a way to go yet. Good to hear from you. Alo

With the amount of shares that's changed hands recently and the amazing uptick in price, why is this board so quiet? Very few regular posters here, even Stew has deserted us, probably because it feels like you're talking to yourself a lot of the time. Does anyone have any opinions or where this might go? All I know is I've been waiting donkey years for this company to reach its potential and I know it isn't there yet. Once it's cracked the US market I'll be satisfied but I've no idea what that might mean in terms of share price, only that we will finally be achieving our potential, if we don't get bought out before we get the chance.
