Yes you're right they were paid in GMR shares, as opposed to Edison Research (the previous analysts we had and also the biggest in the country) who are paid in cash by every company they provide research notes for. At least it shows a bit of faith in the company's potential if they will accept payment in shares, but I suppose also makes them biased, but then same could be said for any company that's being paid, whether in cash or shares. As you say, a lot more interest being shown here lately. I'm hoping someone puts a decent offer in for this company because of its world class IP assets.

Our peer derived target price remains at 25.37p. However, assuming management continue to deliver on expectations over time we would expect to revise our forecasts upwards and will revisit them at the latest when interims are released in September. Our stance remains at Conviction Buy.

A recent collaboration with video games developer Inspired Entertainment has also seen the launch of 'Slingo Centurion', a gaming version of the US group's hugely successful Centurion computer game.

Mark Segal, Gaming Realms' chief financial officer, believes that Slingo is a unique format and says the aim is to create a new genre of gaming in the market with dedicated sections on all its partner websites.

Part of this plan is the continued expansion in other areas around the world.

Broker Peel Hunt recently described Gaming Realms as being perfectly positioned for the online casino sector.

Someone over on advfn said they've put an order in for 500,000 shares (and only filled 162,000 so far).

How do you know there are no staff incentives? Are you an ex employee?

I think this may be to do with Jackpot Joy and whether they can convert the loan into shares instead of waiting for cash when it becomes due in December 2022. The other big shareholders would need to wave their (pre emptive) right to a similar offer of shares, is my best guess.

At last we are starting to turn the corner. Well done to Stew for keeping this bulletin board active and keeping our spirits up over the years and to other long term holders for hanging in there. Welcome to those who have just bought in. With its recent complete change in business model, this company is essentially starting again from scratch and it's starting with a bang. If any of you, like me, were in ETO (Entertainment One) which owned the rights to Peppa Pig, it made its investors bucket loads of money and then got bought out for a premium. I mention it because I see Slingo as GMR's equivalent of Peppa Pig. It's the golden egg that's going to keep on laying and will bring in the rewards to those who have the patience for it. AIMHO. Adjusted EBITDA loss on continuing activities for 2019 of £0.3m (2018 £0.1m loss), which was better than expected.

US toy company Hasbro is set to acquire Entertainment One (ETO) as part of its strategy to expand its brand portfolio. The group will pay for 560p a share for the studio, valuing it at around £3.3bn.

The shares surged past the offer price following the announcement, presumably in anticipation of rival offers. Broker Numis said that while 560p was a fair price, it was “not necessarily knock-out value” if other companies in the media, entertainment or digital sectors saw the opportunity for greater synergies.

Hasbro expects the deal will drive $130m (£106m) in savings through insourcing Entertainment One’s toy business and improving profitability in licensing and merchandising.

The deal is further evidence of the M&A feeding frenzy for media content, which means while Hasbro’s price offers an attractive premium to Entertainment One’s recent trading – and our buy call – we are intrigued to see if further bids will emerge. Await documents at 573p

Nil value being attributed to Chariot’s licenses.

finnCap has a risked net asset value (NAV) per share of 19.6p for the Anchois discovery, and a risked NAV per share of 16.4p for Chariot’s other Moroccan offshore licences: the Mohammedia prospect MOH-B (gross mean prospective resource of 637m barrels); and Kenitra licence prospect KEN-A (gross mean prospective resource of 445m barrels). Chariot ended 2018 with net cash of $19.8m (£15.2m), a sum worth 4.1p a share. This means that the share price is fully covered by cash on the Chariot’s balance sheet, implying that nil value is being attributed to any of its Moroccan acreage.

Part of the reason for the low rating is that Chariot encountered dusters on drilling programmes in both Namibia and Morocco last year, so some investors will be giving the company a wide berth. However, any positive news flow on a partnering process on Anchois would undoubtedly be well received, and supportive of investors attributing at least some of finnCap’s risked estimate of the value of the project into the share price. FinnCap’s time line for news flow on Anchois is as follows: release of the Component Person’s Report (CPR) in May; development feasibility study in June; Moroccan gas marketing study over the summer; Lixus seismic reprocessing at the end of the year; and potential partnering discussions in late 2019/early 2020 with a view to a field start up in 2023.

I now rate Chariot’s shares a speculative buy.

Once deal is approved will have £11m cash in bank and company is currently valued at just £12m. Coming out of a two year period of shareholder uncertainty due to changeover in business model so expecting things to begin to improve. Excited about the launch of the new monopoly game in six weeks.

UK regs and tax had become too restrictive for the original business model, but switching to a new model takes time to build up again. However, it would appear the Chairman believes the SP has bottomed out (barring external market influences), if he's put his hand in his pocket for another £10K worth at this juncture. To me this indicates a good time to follow suit and either buy in or top up. I have topped up. "Looking to the future, the Group will focus on the development and licensing of proprietary online games, which had a strong FY18, and revenue for the first six weeks of 2019 was running 118% above the daily average of FY18." Just need to keep building on these strong growth figures as rapidly as possible. Would be nice to get more regular news flow from the company too.
