Last comment.. regarding another bid. Would a new bidder prefer the current pre -RAM status quo or would they rather deal with RAM once the pesky PI's have been neutered? The answer to this may inform the strategy to take here, fight it with all the risk or not?? I am not sure..

It is hard. My own thoughts veer a a lot too. The only problem with the 'bait and fisherman" theory is that it is a hope. Hope is not really a strategy. But then again maybe we should trust the quality of this asset and its desirability? Maybe this is too good to pass up by the majors? Then again you could be also argue that is a dead poisoned chalice?

We don't have the knowledge what prior discussions and interactions have been with other companies. I would be more sympathetic to the BOD if they told us the truthful flavour of these.

In a nutshell. RAM does not have credibility. That is my central problem. The exact same deal with say Rio Tinto would actually have been fine with only minor muttering and sadness.

You have totally changed your view Jiving since your post of 10 February. You are perfectly entitled to change your opinion, respect. However, maybe your gut reaction was correct? The deal terms are so loaded and one sided and mired in related party interest.

What irks me and adds to suspicion is that they have not given an interview to allay the many concerns we have. Silence speaks volumes as to the legitimacy here.

If it was Rio Tinto and not RAM then, Yes. RAM have no track record and no credibility to build this. All we have really is money for FEED, the rest is pure in the sky as it was before.
