Since you are so bullish SB, maybe you want to have another go at your last very underweight 77p calculation attempt for Stage 1? My feedback was that you were giving away the self-financing stage 2 of the project totally for free (ie 18mtpa). See past ZIOC website investor presentations where this is calculated. Also, there is the fact of the greater unexplored iron ore body (nearly another 50% in size)

Current facts (as currently RNSed) strongly indicate a likely positive outcome. If the facts change otherwise, I will re-evaluate. So I am enjoying this and living it, sod the Doon gloom 😃

I had not given enough weight in my thinking on the resource half explored issue. If ZIOC became the miner this issue becomes void as rights are retained.. Appealing, maybe they are serious in going it alone? Glencore can play fully with its marketing rights and thumb a nose at other global miners? And A steel consortium would be well placed for their own interests, appealing for them too..

Thanks, alwayshoping, an interesting perspective you have on this. I also think it is done and dusted, however, my suspicion is Saudi is out. If AD Ports had done the port I won have definitely counted them in. Also, last year's non materialisation of MOUs led me to believe Saudi may be out due to the bust up over their proposed trading arm.

Could be various formulas for Glencore's marketing rights. Candidates are JFE steel and Stegra, both of which Marthy has 'liked' more than once on LinkedIn. Thus a steel consortium with ZIOC the miner?

Yes, an auction could theoretically happen, but this is plucking something totally out of the air, imo. It makes so many assumptions, even that Glencore would wish to sell out totally. We do not even know that for starters. Auctions are high risk (reserve??) and abrasive . Private companies generally do things differently to nation states..ie negotiate

You would not spend real money on designing a multi billion dollar port if there was no deal in place/in hand for a "real" user of the port (not just groups competing with no committment yet). Just to clarify the port thing.

One more thing. Does ZIOC have the funding for a long drawn out competitive process? This running on fumes indicates an actual deal conclusion process (vote and legal) and announcement, imo.
