I can honestly say that I have no idea what secret government activities DARK get up to. What I meant was that cyber-defence skills could also be used for cyber attack and shareholders would not be told about it, however much money DARK made from the activity.

Thanks for the explanation with which I would not argue! My feeling is that the current share price level is not justified by the special bonus. Other factors might apply. Earlier today I sold some of my holding, making a tangible profit and will hold the sizeable balance UFN. It's just my way of dealing with the unknowns.

My reasoning is that the company has a pile of cash - more than it knows what to do with. The company valuation includes that cash. If the company hands a proportion of it back to shareholders then obviously the value of the company is reduced and share value would reflect that. There is also the cost of the operation to consider. I don't think it will be a disaster but it could just be a means of buying off the activists.

The the current valuation is a possible peak and offers a chance to either sell and return at a lower price or buy a stock that is already under valued.

All governments carry out cyber 'operations'* to some degree. It would be surprising if DARK's expertise was not called on by GCHQ. Unascribably of course. Another growth opportunity, though.

It sounded nice when it was announced that AV. would hand back money to shareholders, but of course money is never that simple! I intend to hedge my bets by retaining about 75% of my holding and selling 25% in the next few days. Options in mind, include upping my stake in LGEN slightly and/or just sitting on some cash waiting for other opportunities.

Got plenty other growth stocks suffering now. My value stocks doing much better generally. No time to sell IMO

Unfortunately bought in on the crest of the wave. However, logic tells me that necessity will force us away from the evils of fossil fuel producers (Russia, Saudi Arabia for example) and their siren calls for our governments to pander for votes rather than invest in progress. I won't be selling, our time will come!

Ironic that Russia had to send the army in to invade Ukraine to stop them joining the EU. They managed to get the Brexit they wanted from us much more easily. Didn't quite manage to destroy the NATO alliance although Trump did his best for them.

Berenberg upgrades to buy

Must admit to having bought at 215 back in Feb making MNG by largest holding and taking my avg price to 159. Unfortunately now we appear to be having difficulties with the Russians* most of my other stocks have fallen overboard.

HL was already trending downwards when she was appointed to their board, 1 September 2020. They were in the 1530s at the time. I do share the view that AV.s recruitment strategy defies logic a lot of the time.

Have a couple of dozen companies in which I hold stocks. It is interesting to observe which ones people hang on to regardless at times likes these. AV. not so much despite large own-share purchases, but it could be worse.

I knew I should have sold last week, but then I always know I should have sold last week.

It's keeping nice and steady these turbulent times. My largest holding that I started building just after the split when it was said PRU were cutting out the dead wood and I got in at 91p. Happy days!
