The Rigzone site may have just updated the information that they have been given. It could just mean that the rig is contracted to do a drilling job in West Africa. If they were already drilling I would have expected an RNS yesterday. If we don't get one Monday I would assume that the rig is still enroute.

That RNS has come a day earlier than a lot of people expected. Perhaps another tomorrow !. We have expected a slight delay in drilling as the contract date for the rig being talked about as mid July which is just inside H2. H2 starts this weekend so not much of a delay. BP news also in near future. I'm quite happy with that.

There is no current evidence to support the current location as being in Nigeria. Your post also states that its enroute.

The Rig contract runs from 15th July to year end I believe, so would expect it to be enroute by now. Lets hope so

The Rigzone site is not 100% up to date,that was confirmed by someone who rang them. The Infield site also says Enroute, so the current location could be the destination that they know it is going to.. We should soon find out though.
