RE: Yesterday's RNS8 Sep 2023 05:36
I posted this yesterday:
Thank you, Blackstout, for an excellent post as always. My reading of the RNA told me that they bypassed a very large find when going for the deep discovery, and now they have gone back over the logs and probably tested a lot more, a vast discovery has been uncovered, so large that AM has had to focus on it exclusively. The NDA covers this, so ne details, and I guess that is why the JV will be just for Cole Creek. This hint at massive news to come seems to have escaped the notice of the market!
' Through further geological study, he and his team have revealed a vast area of bypassed oil pay in the Cole Creek area, adjacent to the BFU. The prospective horizons are currently under Joint Venture negotiation with a respected industry leader.'
Thinking about this, I wonder if this extra discovery was mentioned in the Ryder Scott report last year, and if that is why it was never made public. Maybe the company was already investigating this additional find, and the potential JVP came onboard for it. If that is the case, then I would not be surprised to find that the discovery when announced will be substantially more that the 1 billion barrel discovery already announced. It is certainly a long time since the JVP stated due diligence, and a very large discovery would take a llong time to assess fully. Maybe we are in for a big surprise!
