I am not invested here for 2000 barrels a day bring us to 7p or 10p or 30p. That's not enough to make this an exciting prospect. It's all about the dicovery in CC. We know there is a JV in the offing, it has been officially announced by RNA. We know there is a lot of oil there, it has been independently confirmed. Recent RNAs have implied that there may be more than one JV, and also that there may be a second and much larger discovery that was bypassed when they were drilling for the first discovery. So large that AM has had to move over to work on that exclusively. So that is why I am here, not for the pennies, I am here for the pounds once we hear the very big news. My guess is that it will be in Q1 2024, but that's just a guess. I increased my investment by 10% at 1.85p this week, and as funds permit will keep adding at this level, and one day soon it will all have been worthwhile!

The answer is in the RNA:

'COPL entered into offsetting swaps to crystallise the hedge on October 4, 2023. In addition, it has agreed to pay a revised interest rate on the same terms as the Senior Credit Facility on the outstanding liability to the Swap Provider. The liability has the same maturity as the Senior Credit Facility, due March 2025. COPL agreed to pay $500,000 upfront to Swap Provider as part of the crystallisation of the hedge. '

So two days ago COPL signed a new agreement which involved paying 500k, and this was why they raised an extra 500k.

So there is no doubt that there has been a NDA for almost a year.

The RNA this week deliberately mentioned a new find, not accidentally. It makes me think a formal announcement is not that far away.

The NDA covers this, so ne details, and I guess that is why the JV will be just for Cole Creek. This hint at massive news to come seems to have escaped the notice of the market!

Thinking about this, I wonder if this extra discovery was mentioned in the Ryder Scott report last year, and if that is why it was never made public. Maybe the company was already investigating this additional find, and the potential JVP came onboard for it. If that is the case, then I would not be surprised to find that the discovery when announced will be substantially more that the 1 billion barrel discovery already announced. It is certainly a long time since the JVP stated due diligence, and a very large discovery would take a llong time to assess fully. Maybe we are in for a big surprise!

'Further geological study'.......'bypassed oil pay area'......this is why they want a JV on Cole Creek.
