The plan laid out from the very start has not changed. If you invested on a different basis, then that was your own basis, not the one adopted by the company. Investment in marketing aimed at increasing sales has worked. the gross profit margin has been consistent.
However, it is becoming more relevant to assess which parts of the marketing spend are producing the growth results. It may then become appropriate to trim away some of those costs without affecting growth. Basic maths should tell us that one year of similar growth, with the same or slightly reduced marketing costs, would produce an overall profit. The plan to grow sales is what I invested in, because that amount of yearly business will become very attractive to some of the giants. That prospect is much more likely than the company remaining independent over the medium term IMHO

Well, whilst the sales growth has been exceptional over a sustained period now, they are stressing that online is the best performer. No surprise to a retailer of any product. I'm not sure how large the sales force is in the conventional target market. It has to be reviewed surely. To put bodies on the ground seeking sales in overseas markets is a major cost centre.

Unless they're hiding another bigger trade, it's hard to see where the upward movement is coming from. The chunky trades are welcome, but, at the moment, they don't appear to be causing momentum traders to take notice.

By the looks of this chat board, the ticker code TMG was previously used by another company, therefore the chat below this post is now obsolete. I hope others who have followed The Mission Group under the old ticker of TMMG will find their way over to this board. My bad for not saying this sooner. For anyone looking in, well worth looking back at RNS's for the old ticker to appreciate what this company is all about. It has been my top performing share for a long time now.

You knew you were buying in to an uncommercialized project. So you thought you knew how long it would take, and you were wrong. Nobody made you decide to buy.

If they are still grinding away at that company, it suggest that there is some way they can still fund their bills doesn't it?

Throughout my experience with this company, from a sub 10p share price, I have said consistently, that a company whose centre of excellence is raising the public profile of brands and customers, should apply that expertise to themselves.
I hope that this will be the beginning of that.

For many years I've stayed in here in the hope that they would turn glowing promises in to reality. Despite that, here we are, producing oil by the cup full, with a vague short term prospect of that becoming a mug full, but Oh, by the way, there are more and more vast lakes of oil to be studied. They don't have the resources to do a proper job on any of these prospects, they don't appear to be likely to produce enough to fund anything more than keeping the lights on, albeit dimly. And today, here is the prospect of a huge amount more expenditure, likely to be at the expense of millions more issued shares.
