PMO SP holding strong. Oil bouncing back?

Iran announcement is apparently on OR before 12th May. PMO trading update on 16th May. I would have preferred the Catcher result before any Iran statement, as Catcher ought to be a positive, but the Iran issue could swing the oil market either way, and if downwards, it might mute the SP reaction to the (later) Catcher news.

From BIFFA dog, on iii... ---- Just to add a bit of colour to this, I have literally just spoken to PMO IR. Firstly, all is absolutely fine with Catcher. If you want more assurance on this, then I suggest you talk to PMO IR yourself. I have and I am 100% happy. Whether or not there is an RNS announcing that Catcher is producing at a steady and sustainable 60k bopd, will very much depend on how close they are to the TO due out on the 16th May. For example, if they hit it on the 14th May, you probably wont get a separate RNS but hit it in on the 4th May, and you probably will. I cannot tell you what the cut off point is, nor can I say with 100% certainty a separate RNS will be issued, however, I think it is highly likely. Rest assured, they know how important this is to the future of the company. Hope that helps and settles any nerves on here, mine included. GLA.

Certainly looks more likely that sanctions will be imposed. The timing of this presentation is too close to Trumps decision for it not to be orchestrated to provide the evidence needed to justify further sanctions, IMO.

Interesting, Jammie. Not sure I agree with liquidating your position here so soon when oil is still looking strong and Catcher news soon, along with Trump looking more likely to ditch the deal with our friends, the Iranians.

Cockadoodledo, Having spoken to PMO IR very recently, I can concur with everything you have said in your last post. With regard to formal news on Catcher, I quote "We will provide a full update on Catcher at our trading update in May, if not before". GLA. ---------------------- Cocka's post: PMO is not there yet re the Catcher 60,000 but they are in the final stages of the commissioning of the gas plant. They're still targetting end of April to hit the magic number which gives them until Monday. I'm in two minds as to whether they will RNS it given the May trading update is just around the corner. Surely the SP movement is not all down to POO? There must be an element of "sooner or later" Catcher will bring home the beef so let's get in now. If it's May rather than April there won't be many holders who will grumble. I don't think anyone with their ears to the ground has heard bad news out of Catcher. PMO would appear to be on the home straight now. Good luck all.
