Yes, I'm in since around 90p for a while, but didn't manage to trade the recent spike to 110p unfortunately, another batch of paper profit that came and vanished.

Contemplating selling out now, like yourself, but as always not sure where this is heading short term - lots of macro factors potentially affecting oil in the near term, could spike PMO at very short notice, especially given positive trading update, could swing sentiment here. Still a bad smell with GS lingering though.

But maybe as Members is now uber-positive and advising others to BUY/hold strong, it could be time to offload :)

Looks like members has bought back in and is now an uber-ramper after months of being out and deramping the hell out of this every day.

Couldn't even keep to his word about not coming back - that lasted around 2 weeks.

HUR has no debt because as far back as I can remember, they have been issuing shares to fund the business to date.

We spiked recently, then they took it down, in full knowledge of the coming Iranian sanctions, knowing they'd have another chance to pump it again soon after.

Good points. There needs to be a balance, with a large emphasis on debt reduction - however, this is exactly what management have stated as their aim, no doubt driven by the banks.

You're right about gearing, but I believe that a large part of the debt mountain is attributable to the $1.6bn cost of the duff Solan project, although that was a bit before my time here.

Also need to look at deals such as EON which management undertook that have had a good transformational effect on the health of the balance sheet and been a good addition to profit over that time period. If there was too much of your (prudent) thinking, such deals wouldn't happen. Whether such deals have led to 'visible' shareholder value is debatable, but they have certainly helped the bigger picture.

Agree Dodger - to not be on the lookout for cash-accretive deals would be negligent of management.

More chance of shareholder returns when the company is more highly profitable.

Debt should also reduce more quickly with higher profit levels, assuming cost of purchases not too high initially.

Now that the root cause of the bickering has supposedly left the building, things ought to get back to 'normal'.

Oil has been on an upward trajectory since the start of the year.

Could kick off big time in the first week of May when Iran sanctions start to bite.

PMO share price is probably not too far off where it was the last time oil was at this price.

PMO was at 140ish when Brent peaked at $86 last year.

Shows how Richard is completely unbalanced in his views - never mentioning when PMO is up more than ENQ/TLW. Yet ALWAYS mentioning when it is the other way around.

Crude could see a serious spike if Iran blocks the Strait of Hormuz, as they are posturing, in anticipation of the end of sanction waivers, although it could lead to some serious conflict.

Something like 30% of world oil supply goes through there every day!
