Then you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. There is no possibility that Vanadium production could increase at around 1 Million tonnes per year. for the next 10 years There are not even enough exploration projects out there that could yield 1/10th of that for 1 year. You are simply making up numbers which is a meaningless activity.

Ozric - on what basis are you even suggesting that Vanadium demand will go from 100,000 TPA to 10 Million TPA within 10 years ?

Fosters - with the Market Makers still wanting to buy a million shares at 13.5p I think that is unlikely.

Nevertheless it is apparent that the Market Makers are pretty happy to take shedloads of shares. They are not running charities and are not investors and will only do what makes them profit pretty much immediately - so it begs the question WHY.

The blindingly obvious answer is that the price is going to be higher at the end of today than it started at.

They can hold back reality for only so long, but what Largo's powerful rerate, and todays news about more Vanadium price increases, goes to show that the time for fundamentals to start to get the recognition they deserve is now.

Ohhh, did I forget to mention that the Eskom Tender results will be known in 6-7 weeks.

Libero - I agree - this brings the daily balance of trades to minus 3.8 Million (i.e. 3.8M apparent sells more than buys) assuming no double counting due to naughty people simple transferring the shares amongst themselves, all at an average sell price of 13.568p

Now why on earth would the Market Makers wish to take quite so many shares onto their books.

goblesmythe - I'm only repeating what I've been told by the people who work on those batteries and I trust them to have spent many hundreds of hours looking into it themselves - they are pretty meticulous germans who built their own 20MWh VRFB battery building from, essentially, scratch. No doubt there are many other issues that would have to be dealt with in terms of the power stacks, membranes, storage, monitoring, safety, etc but the materials compatibility issue was the one main thing that I took away after discussing it briefly with them 3 years ago

yes but they don't make pumps out of those.

I know some of the people involved in this - they are all Vanadium flow battery guys most of the time but this is the research stuff that gets them excited and out of bed in the morning. I would say it is a minimum of 5 years at least from commercialisation. One of the big issues is the fact that Bromine is particularly incompatible with plastic piping.
