Clark - no this looks like a sensible period of consolidation ahead of the next push up - the market makers need to get some shares from the market and they are not going to do this when putting the prices up - instead they are going to try and put the brakes on and see if they can shake out some more shares from traders etc. Remember they need someone to mug for profit.

At the moment there are over 470,000 more shares bought than sold.

YTSS - that is very interesting as if you scroll down the page of Vanadium products you will see that the only one that shows any red in the last 60 days is the very lowest purity 92% V2O5 in China - this is the stuff that would not make it into batteries but would instead be turned into Vanadium Nitrides for steel strengthening.

This tells you that battery demand is really now helping to push prices up.

5.4M Buys versus 4.9M sells - I'm pleased to see that the trading has been reasonably balanced, and may even become more so after any delayed reports appear tomorrow. The key thing about this is that despite the very strong buying there has been almost simultaneous consolidation - this may indicate that the market makers are less enthusiastic about selling short now and are running a balanced book because they may fear the prospects of further rises to come.

it is interesting and the fact that Vanadium prices are trending up, even at the depths of a global pandemic tells you what is in store for the future.

At the Vanitec meeting in Heathrow in late 2017 I posed this question to the entire audience, gambit may remember it - I asked whether "the Steel industry, through it's ability to produce high pricing, might potentially kill off the VRFB industry."

well if the Mokopane mine is only that, and not a complete processing plant, then BML can only expect to get paid for ore, not for finished Vanadium. It will be Vanchem that does all that hard work, and we have owned 100% of that since the 7th November 2019.

Hence - there is absolutely no reason to hang around trying to squeeze more of a percentage out of our Mokopane partners. We have the brownfield processing plant already built.

mogwhy - the PFS states that The Mokopane Project is 64 % owned by BML through its wholly owned subsidiary Bushveld Resources Limited (BRL)

$22m might be enough to build the crushers and magnetic separation circuit to be able to separate out the Vanadium containing magnetite from the rest of the rock. As Setcentric says Vanchem could then process this ore into finished Vanadium products.

Vanadium is the only element that can exist in water in 4 different oxidation states.

As page 3 of this presentation shows ( https://www.sandia.gov/ess-ssl/docs/pr_conferences/2010/li_pnnl.pdf ) - the V(II) -> V(III) and V(IV) -> V(V) reactions produce a useful voltage difference of around 1.25Volts and are positioned at just the right energy points so that the voltages don't also break down the water.

You can get higher voltages on other couples if you replace the water with an organic solvent, but then you have a battery that can burn.

This is what makes the all-Vanadium flow battery SO special.

Larry Zulch of Invinity certainly seems to be getting out there and banging the drum for VRFB's - it probably helps that he is an American and so other Americans report what he says.

Clearly the company has come a long way since the start of the week, when they were not tipping it. Or maybe not.

Maybe it is exactly the same company with exactly the same prospects as at the start of the week and the lazy, good-for-nothing armchair investing community has only woken up because the share price is moving.

Forget about doing years of careful research, forget about understanding the company and its prospects inside out, all you need to do is sit around on your fat, lazy, arse and wait for the geniuses who pen the 150-word analyses for ShareCentreInvestorsChronicleYourSharesTodayWhatever and then stick a pin in and put your money on one of their tips that takes your fancy...

I predict that we will see a second strong push up through 15p today - consolidation has already happened and once again the buys coming in are exceeding the sells that give shares back to the market makers.
