RE: BRICS collaboration4 Jul 2018 06:54
In addition to South Africa (the 'S' in BRICS) Brazil, China and Russia all produce Vanadium and would therefore naturally be pre-disposed to Vanadium Flow based energy storage.
Only the US is in a pickle, with no Vanadium of their own and a current administration that believes more in isolationism than free trade. Whilst the US may have been leading the energy storage agenda up until now I suspect that it will lose this position in the next 1-3 years and China and Europe will emerge as major adopters of VRFB technology.
Just before the first penalty in last night's exciting shootout I got a call from gambit to ask what time I was going to be at the Vanitec Energy Storage meeting in Lausanne. This is now less than a week away - any others interested ?
