Sorry MTB I turned off after the second sentence:- Vanadium supply is somewhat opaque with roughly half of it coming out of China.
Nothing is coming out of China, they are importing now.
The author of that article claims that "revised Chinese rebar standards could lead to increased demand" - only 'could' - had he bothered to read the new rebar standards, as drafted by Vanitec, then he would know that it explicitly requires Vanadium.
Furthermore one of the people who helped draft those new regulations, Terry Perles, has actually bothered to calculated precisely how much Vanadium will be used by the new rebar standards and he comes up with a figure of between 16,500 and 24,300 more tonnes V per year required.
