What are the chances of a 7,309 sized trade this morning, of all days ?

Ninvestor - no the innate lack of research by the UK private investing community is the problem, which we may not solve, just yet.

Once the financial figures are tattooed in the side of the dome St Paul's Cathedral so that you can see them from the other end of fleet street then the UK public will wake up to what has been going on here for the last 4 years.

Still 6 weeks to go before new chinese rebar regulations come in. As explained here Terry Perles of TTP2 estimates that this will lead to an increase in chinese demand of between 16,500 and 24,300 more Tonnes per year.

I don't know how putting the price up makes more Vanadium appear out of thin air. There are no plants that can be simply reactivated and it take 3-5 years to get even a well explored brownfield site into production. It may just be that for a few years it is only the highest bidder that will get any Vanadium at all.

Regions outside of China have perhaps the greatest potential to go from FerroVanadium/V2O5 to Vanadium+Nitrogen (such as our Nitrovan) to get 30% more strength for each Vanadium atom. China has this pretty much already worked out.

Given that out of Largo, Rhovan and ourselves it is only us that produce a V+N containing product we should do very well when the rest of the world wakes up to the multi-year Vanadium shortage that is coming.

Brightonpier - if you can wait just 2 weeks before selling then I think you may get 40p per share.

It is an interesting question as to what is the best way to encourage an investing mindset. Give shares and hope they hold or give cash and tell them to get down and do some research ?

Normally I would recommend the latter but in the case of BMN I would recommend the former as the investment is really superbly opportune right now - at present the wider market does not know we exist, but boy are they going to be in for a shock.

Just goes to show what happens if you overly diversify - you end up not having the time to do the research necessary to select the real gems.

Headancer - I guess you would have to ask him, but there will be a standard set of answers - too small, not the right sector, not technology enough, whatever ... the simple answer is that there is no simple answer to investing and if you set yourself rules as to what you will invest in then you will inevitably miss some, probably most, investment opportunities.

faramog - it was my belief that the closing price is determined by the end of day auction, which as we have seen can be distorted. Not that it should make too much difference as it is for charity not the charity shield.

just out of curiosity is the cup decided on day end price or interday peak ?
