Knutsford - thanks very much. It is indeed about time that IC and the Daily Mail woke up to this share. Even the idiots who I don't need to name but who have trash-talked the share for years on ADVFN have turned tail and started saying how great it is, as is the research here.

Only the Motley Fool seems to be holding out at present - they'll no doubt want to get in on the act at some point also.

The simple fact is that the huge increase in Vanadium prices will, far from presenting a problem to BMN's VRFB ambitions, will actually provide the capital to unlocking them.

It does not need to be said that this situation is rather a unique one - a new industry dependent on large amounts of a critical component but where the component is already highly prized and valuable. Normally this results in the new industry not getting established, however here it is the unique stability of the electrolyte that allows it to be leased, just as platinum catalysts are leased and recycled in chemical plants. The difference is this industry could be 100's of times larger than the platinum catalysts one.

Knuttie - this scenario you outline raises an interesting question - if you have 100K in a ISA and 125K worth of BMN shares in a dealing account (held from a low buy in price) - and you want to take 100K cash is it better to sell down the ISA or the dealing account.

I bet most people will say - keep the ISA protected ! - sell the dealing account and give the taxman his 20% CGT (ignoring personal allowance of course).

It is counterintuitive but actually makes more sense to sacrifice the 100K in the ISA account completely, pay zero CGT now - but then you still have shares in a dealing account that you can then spend a number of years transferring into the ISA via Bed & ISA transactions. This way you get to use your CGT and ISA allowances over the course of many years.

It will be interesting to see if that process works - quite a few of the warrants have exercise dates in 2021 and 2022 - so if they cash in now they lose and potential increase in share value between now and then. Plus they maybe lose the opportunity to short using the warrants as backstop.

Either way I wouldn't be mucking about with currencies right at the moment - this is whole point of being invested in a commodity, Vanadium which has an intrinsic global value, which is not just stable but increasing.

BMN is the perfect hedge - against Brexit chaos, against Trump trade wars, against the latest ruse from Opec. Short of someone discovering a new method of cold fusion (won't happen) it is a safe hedge against all global macro-economic or geo-political ebbs and flows.
