JD1972 - actually the converse is true - the bid was forced down to precisely that level to nab these shares from leveraged positions. I was warning about this yesterday if you recall. They had to push it down that far because evidently those holding the leveraged positions had reinforced them so that they were not triggered until around 17.5p somewhat lower than had previously been explored.
Was the company 10% worse at 10.30 this morning than it was yesterday ?
Er no, it was 10% cheaper, which in my book makes it a 10% better investment than it even was the day before.
So if you did manage to get some shares today you could flog them in a couple of days and take a few, perhaps even 10% profit, and then spend the rest of your life looking for an equally great investment. Or you could thank your lucky stars knowing that you've managed to get the opportunity to make many hundreds of percent profit plus another 10% .
