Nitrovan can be as much as 66% better than plain on Ferrovanadium. See http://www.nitrovan.co.za/documents/Vametco%20Alloys%20Brochure%20(Digital).pdf page 3 - you only need 0.06% of Vanadium content in Nitrovan as you do to get the same effects as 0.1% of Vanadium in FerroVanadium form. The Nitrogen in the Nitrovan effectively 'supercharges' the Vanadium in the Nitrovan mixture making the Vanadium atoms more effective.

Thus Nitrovan should retail at 166% (0.1 over 0.06) times the price of FeV.

In the past however Evraz sold it at the same price as FeV - possibly because they also made FeV and didn't want the Nitrovan undercutting it, or possibly because they were trying to get all the smarts hooked on Nitrovan as the better product at effectively discounted prices.
