The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
What is wres and what happened to it?
I meant CFO sorry. I hope he just needed a break rather than being pressured to oblige to any wrong doing and left
Marklee you are right, especially regarding the CEO. Something may be about to come out. I feel relieved now that I am out.
I sold today. I lost 2k with this dog. I will not buy in again until I can see much more clarity on what happened with the resignation of the CFO and a clear signal that debt is reducing, wells decline figures and strategy for future acquisition.
It is a shame what has happened in the past few weeks and the unfortunate decline of the share price.
350K shares purchased at 74, not a bad deal. Not the big numbers we were expecting though
Totally agree, the buyback should be much higher than 1M in my opinion. If not now, when?
All down yesterday by an average of more than 1%, mostly driven by stocks with highest debt
People in the US are just getting now in the office. Give them time to open their laptops and find out the bloodshed that happened while they were sleeping.
DenFos - share price falls violently when bankruptcy is evident and in the "know" (at least in the know for big players) or simply announced. I doubt a company that is about to file for bankruptcy does any sort of share BB.
What will happen to investors if DEC is taken private?
Eric Williams, outgoing CFO has updated his LinkedIn profile with his employment in DEC terminating in September but did not add his new role or employer. Has he left with 2 weeks of notice to go on sabbatical?
When is the next trading update? will it be in December? By then the SP will be on the canvass...
Sorry my post got sent too soon... Maybe the management will get more serious about BB now that the price is more on the bargain side.
Maybe the management will get more serious
@AceofClubs If I hadn't already wrote so often to Kris Douglas already, I would have enquired directly with him. Management must do something to save the share price decline, at the very least a massive director deal (a purchase of course).
It hasn't been this low since April 2018 (excluding the pandemic share price shock).
@lukee - how different can a buyback program be, and what kind of restriction are you referring to?
Tickety-Boo when did you complete the W8? was it before or after the Ex dividend date? was the W8 still in date? it has a 3 year validity. BTW I would be more concerned about the capital loss rather than the 15% excess tax paid.
Maybe the price is not seen as cheap by the management since we are now flirting with the 70s
I am stunned we are not back to £3, let alone £2!
