I just emailed Wilna, with a few questions and mentioned no company rns since 20 December (5 weeks) she’s speaking to George about my email.
The main thing for me is the site manager said in media we would be mining / striping as of tomorrow. So are we? And if we are why no media to back it up. I would have thought the company would be gagging to get that message out. I’m not buying the stakeholder sign off thing anymore as zim reporters seem to be able to release what they like on social media same day
I’m going with all on time, I think the team will make the deadline. Re dam delay you predict - site manager stated two weeks ago we already have enough water in the dam to run the plant.
An update would take all the guesswork out of this though..Wiiilna!
“GR told us at the time... when he explained why he wasn't doing it and Brandon was... he said theirs nothing new in the presentation anyway. So why you all getting excited about how poor it was.. after GR said nothing new in it”
I was fairly happy with the presentation by Brandon. Yes he seemed a little nervous but we’ve all been there during a presentation we’ve had dumped on us last minute.
I was happy he clarified the dividend situation as this has rumbled on for months.
A Brief update on the other assets was also welcomed.
You’ve late to the party was a bit odd but get what he is saying, still plenty of upside here over the next months and years was then made clear.
One thing I note after re watching is he said the plant can be moved to other assets in zim which would suggest there’s a replacement being thought about already for the pilot, which is good as this would be a larger full production plant which suggests there’s already enough to throw at a production plant.
Can appreciate others calling for a detailed RNS but can’t see that happening until we’re shipping, little disappointing as some don’t have / want twitter and relying on official RNS’s for clarification of progress and updates.
Brendan said we won’t keep you in the dark although it does seem like they do sometimes. On the plus side he did say if we have any issues or delays we will tell you. No news is good news as they say.
RE: When is Pilot Plant not a Pilot Plant21 Jan 2023 15:59
PM01,
This was recently answered by George in a stockbox before Christmas.
From memory 48,000 tonnes is based on 22 days of continuous running per month.
Floatation plants need to run continuously for proper efficiency, he said there is scope to increase the number of continuous running days to increase production
I wouldn’t worry too much about it. “Zimbabwe is open for business” I cannot see any government upsetting any legitimate miners or their Chinese investors for that matter. Currently zim has $13 billion of Chinese investments / dept (however you see it)
