Time to keep your PIs in the loop31 Jan 2019 11:41
Well I think Angus need to release an urgent RNS to update the Brockham site operations judging by the overall quality of the posts over the last couple of days.
What is the current status of the operations and the forward plan? The method for displacing the fluid was bizarre to say the least. Why there hasn't been a coiled tubing unit on location is a head scratcher.
Why was all the high pressure line rigged down? You need that to flow the well, Doesn't matter what chose method you use, you still need a an exit route for the fluid / hydrocarbons.
I've never read so many posts by folk who has no understanding of how an oil company is run. I don't know how many times I sighed or shook my head at its Vonks' fault the paperwork was late being submitted for this, Vonk case the method for displacing the well or the SCC telling an oil company to fire their MD?!?! None of this happens in the real word.
Vonk is the Finance / Sales guy. The MD (Vonk) does not get involved with the drilling / production side of the business. Thats why you have Tidswell being paid £120k and receiving 2 million free shares in the last pat on the back award to themselves to have the position of Operations Manager. Drilling Engineer / Well Test Consultant write the programmes which several folk review and Ok before passing it up the food chain to the top which is Tidswell.
Tidswell drilled from the wrong well which is unheard of. Why? Being lazy and sloppy. A quick review of the logs and a 1 day CBL logging run would have confirmed this as well as appeased the EA regarding integrity of the surface casing / cement (but Tidswell couldn't be bothered to do that).
Tidswell and not Vonk managed to annoy the OGA and EA (which is unheard of). The OGA even dragged Tidswell into their office to ask him how on earth can you drill from the wrong well. By making this mistake he also upset SCC and intern delayed the Brockham EWT by 18 months. Positive results and money in the coffers would have made Angus self sufficient and stable, whereas Vonk was forced to then do placings (I'm not saying he was an Angel in all this, but coupled with Lidsey results hit Angus for six).
So Lidsey didn't go to plan which happens in the oil industry, but Tidswell never ordered critical spares that sometimes take 6 months to get. Looong sigh
And don’t get all giddy about the new BOD
You have a wool merchant as acting CEO.
You have a Chief Executive Officer Andrew Hollis who is the Chief Geologist of Angus and gave a big thumbs up for drilling the Lidsey Well.
You have a Finance Director who isn’t qualified.
And then there is Lucan
And just remember who chose Vonk….Tidswell.
I’ve said for 18 months now that Angus need an old experienced hand who knows how to deal with Government / local authorities and can get a team working efficiently and cost effective for its share holders. And that person is certainly not Tidswell or any other name he decides to call hi se
