Review of Brockham Video29 Jan 2019 13:20
Well I never knew folk would be more interested in the time stamp of a video than the contents of the video itself. Very bizarre.
Moving on to the actual important news….the video.
The question is have we made visible progress since Gifted Genie kindly took time out of his life to video the site on 20th January? Sadly the answer is no.
The pallets of nitrogen bottles have been neatly positioned either side to allow access to the wellhead of a large piece of machinery (nodding donkey, coiled tubing or possible return of the workover rig?). The IBCs containing acid are also neatly positioned in 2 rows to allow access to the wellhead from the other side.
The red high pressure line connecting the wellhead to the choke manifold has been rigged down along with the surface safety valve. I thought this was to allow access to the wellhead for perhaps the nodding donkey or coiled tubing, but then the high pressure line from the choke manifold to heater, heater to separator, low pressure line from separator to surge tank have also been rigged down which is very strange considering everything in the bunded area does not interfere with the rigging up of coiled tubing or a rig. And you need these lines to carry out the well test.
Without being on site and witnessing what has been achieved so far, I would say Angus still need to complete cleaning up the well by displacing the remaining fluid. I found it strange they never used or had coiled tubing on standby in the eventuality of needing nitrogen to displace the fluid.
One possible reason for the current site setup is Angus has not been impressed with H2Oil well testing personnel and / or equipment. It’s common for oil companies to switch out service companies mid job who cause unnecessary delays due to faulty equipment and / or poor service. So it may be a case of removing their equipment and then rigging up the replacement company.
This will certainly delay matters and push the clean up operations well into February.
The only way we will fully know is from Angus themselves. They should definitely be more pro-active when it comes to keeping their investors informed (AAOG is a good example of how to do it). Investors don’t mind if there is a mechanical issue causing a delay, but keep them in the loop otherwise we see the multitude of posts on this board which serve no purpose.
