According to Randox: "In order to achieve the £60 price, which is limited to those undertaking international travel, purchasers will need to apply a discount code which can initially be obtained from airlines when booking travel.”

In exchange for their money, passengers will be able to order a PCR test kit online, which is delivered to the customer's home.

They will be able to take the test themselves, before sending it back to the laboratory to be analysed by experts."

When you look at what Grant Schapps was saying last Friday and PCR being too expensive and then this week Randox announcing cheaper PCR tests for international travel along with their tie ups either randox work really fast or this was all in place before Schapps was giving his interviews.

Not knowing exactly what the dispute is makes it difficult however you can still take a look at the clauses

It's a worthy read. I won't cut and past it all as you can read it from the pdf however the TU stated in dispute. Not mediation. Various levels for the dispute to move through. Unsure how many levels however the TU from the CEO leaves me to assume it's beyond level 1.

5 business days on reaching the final level when the dispute will be deemed exhausted unless agreed in writing.

Then off to mediation. Commencing within 28 days of confirmation of mediator.

Section 19 of schedule 1 is also an interesting read and I suspect it would have been used for PROmate to be included in the contract.

I was wondering that myself yesterday. They have paid for the non promate tests and would rather have the promate workflow. I don't know what the numbers are both in terms of tests and revenue.
If that is the case you can see their argument and I hope an amicable solution can be found. Others have suggested this could be part of the renegotiation game. I've certainly seen that in non government contracts

Not Gov contracts but i have some experience with large IT contracts. Disputes are common specially in relation to specific projects with vendors. It's not uncommon for over running and/or over budget projects to go to legal challenges while maintaining other contracts and projects with the same vendor. A lot of the time it's 2 parties playing the legal game indicating that neither is a push over and more so those disputes are then used as part of further negotiations regarding new contracts.
I hope dialogue channels are still open with the intention of avoiding court.

You could argue that someone from Novacyt should be ringing Alain to explain in detail what they can offer (hopefully already happened).
