I think that we have a very large amount that has been put towards raw materials, that is for sure.
I know I posted this a week or so ago, but should not be a million miles away.
2019
1st half $0.45 mill approximation
2nd half $ 0.85 mill approximation
2020
1st half $1.1 mill equates to 14% of Production average
2nd half $2.2 mill equates to 29% of production average
2021
1st half $1.4 mill 27% up over same period last year
equates to 19% of Production average
2nd half $3.675 mill plus (projected by me) based on previous years, 5% increase year on year and 15% for 3 new product releases and a new odour control product, expand into at least one new application, and increase marketing efforts with broader promotional activities in the second half of 2021.

equates to 49% of Production average

This is what I would hope we should achieve as a minimum, based on what John advises us in the presentation and information readily available via research. Taking the percentage production and converting it back into revenue. (reverse engineering)

yes that is the net cash position, but you cannot quote that figure as a loss, there are so many other things that need to be taken into account, before you can determine what profit/loss is.

How did you manage to come up with that figure, as looking at full year results from 2021, I would have thought back of a fag packet calculation the loss for the first six months would be about $250/$300 thousand, I would assume that we have used most of the cash in hand we had to purchase raw materials to stockpile, taking shipping issues for the rest of this year out of the equation and this could be done knowing we had the money from the Institutional Investor coming in as cover going forward?

I would have thought that now the deal has been posted that buyers have been found for that particular quantity, therefore we start afresh tomorrow.
I think that we are slightly overreacting, the share price may have gotten ahead of itself granted, but do not think there is any justification on how far the share price has fallen, where we were busy researching, discovering and confirming many new products of which ITX had a hand in and looking to the bright future we had here, this has been replaced with negative murmurings. Can someone explain to me what has changed from a week ago, we increased our revenue in the first six months of the year by almost the amount we generated in the first six months of 2019, I think maybe that things have to be put into perspective. This is only a blip, yes it may take a bit of time to recover, but recover it will.

That was a late post from yesterday, and would have to be taken into context with the price at that time, may well have been a sell and that is why we have seen the price fall to the levels that have until buyers were sought, now that this is out of the way, I am sure that we should start to see us moving back in the right direction, as the realisation that this is still a fantastic company to be invested in which has a very bright future .

Totally get where you are coming from.
Was this a total miscalculation and the initial update and presentation would get the so so news out of the way and would suffice to drop the price a bit to make it palatable for the II to buy in, and the half year results was just a confirmation of where we stood, that the future was bright with three new product launches and the Company plans to add a new odour control product, expand into at least one new application, and increase marketing efforts with broader promotional activities in the second half of 2021. (can I emphasise at least one new application). I think that they need to have their RNS's proof read before releasing, as this is the AIM and some investors will only look for the negatives. As a LTH I will continue to hold my sizeable holding and look to add during this short term blip, fortunately I bought in when around a penny so still have my head above the water line.
I think we have to remember the fundamentals have not changed.

II think there will be many in the same position, as you say this will turn back around, the potential here is huge, one good RNS and the momentum will totally swing in the positive direction, we have to look at this as a buying opportunity that we never thought we would get, as an absolute steal at these prices. As is the AIM there tends to be over reactions to what in this case was not really negative news, we still increased our revenue in the first half by $300,000, I for one will still be buying at these levels, would be criminal not too. If the new ingredient is in plastics/paints then that will be a total game changer.

I know it was a bit of a lacklustre trading statement, but this is a bit of overkill on the sell off, must be well into oversold territory, cannot see the justification in a 30% plus drop, but hey ho this is the AIM anything is possible.
As has been proffered it is only a material loss if you sell, this will recover in the long term and prove to be a sound investment, the fundamentals have not changed, wonder how our II is feeling about there investment, unless they are adding at these levels to average down?

It looks like they have used quite a bit of cash to secure raw materials, to build a stockpile to be able to furnish demand for the second half of the year.
Good too that they are actively involves in increasing the visibility of the company " increase marketing efforts with broader promotional activities in the second half of 2021"
Just a case of sitting tight on what we have and take advantage to the drop to add more, which will make the share even more tightly held by sticky handed PI's

Morning all
surprise, surprise, guess we have a few paid derampers joining us for a few days, just filter as they bring nothing to the table as usual.
Bit disappointed in the manner in which the trading update was presented, almost as if they wanted to cause a short term drop in the SP.
Cannot understand why you would not compare eggs with eggs, why compare first half numbers with second half numbers, of course they will be lower, we know historically that the second half generates at least twice the revenue.
There is so much to look forward to, but none of this was really pushed to the fore.
I for one will be adding when the dust settles, as it would be extremely rude not to at these prices, this is still a fantastic company with ingredients that are sought after by all the majors in the industry, we will maybe just have to play the long game.

Sure I have raised this one before, but just in case it has been missed, there are multiple products being produced using EURECO™ RP103 A granular grade of PAP for powder detergents, these are made by Solvay under licence.

If you type in "128275-31-0 safety data sheets" in a Google search then you will come up with a load if products that have a connection to Itaconix.

Reverse engineered the percentage production numbers to give turnover for the six month periods, 2020 is based on actuals, This is just a crude calculation based on $7.5 Mill being the return for 100% production for each six month period.

2020
1st half $1.1 mill equates to 14% of Production average
2nd half $2.2 mill equates to 29% of production average

2021
1st half $1.6 mill (projected by me) 45% up over same period last year
equates to 21% of Production average

2nd half $3.675 mill (projected by me) 67% up over same period last year
based on previous years percentage production, plus 5% increase year on year and add another 15% for 3 new product releases
equates to 49% of production average.

Will be interesting to look back and see if this was close, or was absolutely miles out, maybe too much sun today lol, points to ponder though.

What are the chance that we have a few large buys going through after the close again from yesterday, someone is either building or adding to their holding in my opinion, as all the sells are being scooped up dead cheap.

Maybe a pointless exercise trying to find out, there must be a point where they have to publish their holding though, did read something about they can defer this for 45 days after the end of the reporting quarter, so the earliest we would see anything would be the middle of August?
