Which companies do people see as being broadly comparable to what MTL is building in Nic (and Phil)?

What are the market caps of these comparators?

I cannot help but think that 25p significantly undervalues what we could become after a successful FY2027.

When Sakura states that it is 'great news' and 'Not a huge surprise to longstanding Condor investors', I believe he may be referring to the prospect of a 10m ounce gold district in the La India area.

Sakura, myself and every other long-term Condor holder was well aware that CNR was never likely to become a mine owner/gold producer. Selling out was always the plan. I believe every former CNR holder is very pleased indeed with the progress being made by our new company in building out the La India mine.

Yes, quite the anti-climax...😅

Since 2010 I've been here for the asset. The CNR leadership of that asset proved to be a mighty disappointment. The MTL leadership is so far proving the stark opposite. Been here 15 years, ain't leaving now.

I recall jibbo well, not fenner, been in cnr since 2010... Not seen price action like this since that year. Went from sub-2p to 11p in four months. Finally getting some traction again.

Simms did NOT post anything about 'gold bug conspiracy'? He posted about a bullion dealer he knows reporting high levels of interest, gold getting ready for its next price rally (in his opinion) and then most of the post concerned MTL.

All valid points concerning any/this particular gold miner.

As a CNR veteran, that's always been the prize. With Au at record levels and going higher over the remainder of this decade, the size of the prize could become astronomical. Although I'm expecting a very bouncy ride, this being Nic and all. Key is that hopefully now we have people in charge of La India district, etc. who will get on and build a flippin' gold mine...

As a 14-year CNR veteran who wants to see La India, etc. mined, I would point out that some of us think there may be up to 5m ounces of Au in them there Nic hills.

The CNR management proved incapable of developing the asset, managing local concerns or showing any intention of building a mine.

Once MTL's proven people get going, I am hopeful we shall all benefit very greatly.

Nigel, point taken, and yes I should clarify that it is the construction and operation of a gold mine that I shall celebrate, not the deterioration of humanity's condition, which I shall of course suffer along with everyone else.

But since I cannot prevent the world slipping into greater ferment, an investment now in a soon-to-be-producing gold mine, at least offers the opportunity to make the best of a thoroughly bad job over the next 5-10 years.

After first investing in CNR in 2010, I look forward to shortly becoming an MTL shareholder.

I shall remain here to see a gold mine built and operated successfully.

La India and associated assets will soon be owned by a company that actually intends to mine the gold bonanza to be found in the district.

Over the remainder of the 2020s I expect the $/£ value of Au to rocket, owing to the continuing deterioration of human civilisation.

Well Johnny, we've been in CNR the same length of time. At least the MTL crew actually want to mine La India et al and have a track record of mining gold successfully.

So I'm backing them, in hope of a £bn future valuation and tasty dividends.

Risks remain, but a gold district is there to be mined and MTL has shown itself capable of success in this domain. There is no other offer, which I am not expecting to change.

So, I am voting FOR.

Even I'd concluded that a raise was coming, the troll activity was the clue.

SandyB I fear you are mistaken. It's not that Porters "...can't accept anything other than doom and gloom is going [on] behind the scenes." (And pv72 similar).

Porters knows nothing and cares less about PRD, because he owns zero shares and is being paid to spread FUD, disrupt, distract, confuse, and allow his paymasters to do whatever they are doing behind the (real) scenes....

Engaging is pointless, other than to restate what he's doing, for the benefit of newcomers.
