Re your question Kaeren regarding Wren Labs (US) and Wren Healthcare (UK), I've just emailed the guys in the States to ask. I will report back asap.
Yes Virion, Kaeren. It would be good if WE could release some news about something WE are doing well. The silence is deafening and VEY aggravating. No idea what Novacyt are playing at? They sure don't like investors, at least not us PI's

A 50-second Covid-19 test that has been designed for use in schools, airports and at entertainment events has been submitted to the UK’s medicines regulator for approval, i has learned.
The testing device, which is portable and around the size of a desktop-computer, is able to detect Covid infected particles in saliva samples in under a minute, according to creator Kidod Science and Technology.
The firm claims it can provide results comparable to a PCR test and that it could be approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) within weeks".
Here, here to that Hamsters! 21 has been utter rubbish for lots of reasons. 22 has the potential to be amazing!! happy New Year to you and yours!
Exciting times ahead. Out with the old and in with the new. Is DA assembling a new top team around him to lead the company to new highs? I think so.
Kaeren, you said "Hope you are staying up late Dylan !" HE might be but daddy will be sound asleep long before Big Ben chimes lol. Happy New Year to you and yours Kaeren
Hope Mrs Wilson is able to enjoy this evening's shenanigans in your cul de sac. Maybe if she's lost her sense of smell and taste you can palm her off with apple juice or even water lol??? Seriously, hope she isn't too badly affected and feels better soon.
Happy new year from me and Dylan in Suffolk. It's certainly been challenging for all of us but as so many have stated 2022 is looking sound for a decent return on our investment. Duel edged sword - on the one hand I want to see us making £millions but I also want the world to go back to 'normal', more for the kids' sake than my own. The novelty off weeks off due to lock down soon wore off and although I gained massively from spending so much time at home with my little guy, in hindsight I would have wished him back at school and out playing with his mates than couped up at home. He did learn a thong or two about investing and expectation management, so not all bad hehe. Anyhow, A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL and here's to a MUCH better 2022. Best wishes guys, stay safe and well.
I wonder who's reagent the Korean Government have chosen to provide such speedy PCR results 3-4 hours!

The government announced that they developed a PCR test that can identify the omicron variant of COVID-19. Starting December 30, authorities will be able to confirm any transmission of the omicron variant immediately in the local community.
On December 24, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency announced, “To strengthen our monitoring of local transmissions and entry of the omicron variant from overseas, we in partnership with the private sector have developed a PCR reagent to quickly identify the omicron variant.”
Authorities could not confirm the omicron variant with the existing PCR test, so until now, they had to conduct a separate DNA analysis--which took three or more days--of specimen from people suspected of contracting the omicron variant to confirm whether or not they were indeed infected with the variant. The government supported private manufacturers to develop a reagent that allowed them to immediately identify the omicron variant through a general PCR test, and after evaluating the validity of some prototypes, they have selected a final product that could be used on the field.
The government plans to distribute the reagent to 23 agencies nationwide including regional response centers and the research institutes of health and environment in major cities and provinces by December 29. Thus, from December 30, local governments will be able to detect the omicron variant, in addition to the alpha, beta, gamma and delta variants using the PCR test. Authorities can also detect “stealth” cases of the omicron variant, cases suspected to be omicron, which were impossible to sort out with existing PCR tests. The government announced that this will be the first case in the world where authorities will be able to identify the five major variants with one PCR test.
Jung Eun-kyeong, head of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said, “With the existing DNA analysis, it takes 3-5 days to confirm the omicron variant after a person is confirmed COVID-19-positive, but thanks to the introduction of the new PCR reagent, we can reduce this time to 3-4 hours,” and added, “We expect to be able to effectively stop the spread and transmission of the omicron variant by quickly identifying it when a patient is confirmed covid-positive in the local community.”
What's going on crazy peeps? Me and young Dylan have been out on our Christmas travels this morning, delivering a few cards and presents suitably dressed in our festive jumpers. Just decided to look in here and shocked to see that WE are 4% down while pretty much every other Covid play is about 20% up? What's occurring? What kind of a Chrimbo present is that from our new CEO? C'mon Dave put a smile on our face. I'll nip round with a glass of egg nog for you (is that a snowball in UK speak?) and a sausage roll if you raise the price just a little!! Oh well not gonna ruin our festive cheer. Have a good one guys and girls. Probably not gonna get to ninety eleven hundred pounds a share before Christmas but it feel like that what I've had to spend on presents lol
I wonder how many WE are providing?
I have received an email (we probably all have) from Novacyt regarding their update released on Twatter. That's great, maybe we'll see an afternoun rns?
Hopefully OUR covid revenue is continuing to grow. I am a tad surprised that we haven't heard they expect to exceed the £100m forecast or wouldn't they be expected to do that?
Scientists find ‘stealth’ version of Omicron that may be harder to track https://uk.yahoo.com/news/scientists-stealth-version-omicron-not-154427316.html
Interesting paragraph here: "The variant is still detected as coronavirus by all the usual tests, and can be identified as the Omicron variant through genomic testing, but likely cases are not flagged up by routine PCR tests that give quicker results."
I wonder if we know of a company that does FAR GREATER and more INDEPTH PCR testing? Maybe a job for SNPsig??? Our very own innovative portfolio of assays (under the brand name SNPsig®) which aids the diagnosis of the new variants of SARS-CoV-2? Could be an opportunity for Novacyt to shine?
Do you have a source Phatstyle? Interesting if true.
Good morning Mr Obelix, how are you? Hoping for a good day today. My little account Manager was VERY disappointed with the price action of yesterday. He thought we'd be over 10% up when he got home from school. A little retrace is acceptable though because as we all know this is going in only one direction long term and it's NOT down. It's good to manage expectation that things can go backwards as well as forward. I think he might get his 10% today! Stay safe I'm hearing from a Psychiatrist friend in Cape Town that their hospitals are filling up and it causes a kind of pneumonia that you didn't even know you have until you are very poorly. Scary thing is it seems to be affecting toddlers and young'uns hardest! Not good!!
Surely price rises due to supply and demand are the same in ANY and ALL businesses? Wouldn't Mr Charles' beloved Virgin Atlantic raise their prices at busy times like school summer holidays or Christmas? If he's grizzling and whining that pcr tests will go up I think he is being disingenuous and doth protest too much. Of course they will go up, that is life!
@Troublesome - I cannot for the life of me understand why masks will not become compulsory in enclosed spaces/pubs/restaurants/large gatherings etc. Just doesn't make sense.

We need to slow down the seeding of this variant in our country and we need to buy time for our scientists to understand exactly what we are dealing with. /2
On testing - all international arrivals entering England must take a day 2 PCR test and self-isolate until they receive a negative result. /3
All contacts of suspected Omicron cases must self-isolate for 10 days, regardless of their vaccination status. They will be contacted by NHS Test and Trace. /4
Face coverings will become compulsory on public transport and in shops. /5
