I agree with H5O; having been to four of the last five SH meetings, it's always been CC who's been calling the shots.

I will look back at AST in the future and reflect on who's been integrous and worth listening to, and decide which people like the sound of their own keyboard clicks (voices!). There have been some absolute belters on this bulletin board! This share has been played and manipulated savagely which has been something of a lesson to me and one which I will carry forward for the rest of my portfolio.

Exactly my thoughts. At some point that money will come back to AST following due legal process. It will not be written off and they will be - as a European country - bound by numerous conventions to be settled as a debt.

I believe that there need to be a committee of between 3 and 5 names for engagement, mixing up who attends any meeting (with a minimum of three attendees at any meet) to ensure that this is a credible as possible, without any trepidation that one voice goes 'off piste' on their own agenda. We need to be professional in all dealings and will need to minute what is discussed and allow Ascent to prepare answers to our questions - we're trying to make our voices heard and not disrupt any on-going developments at this potentially delicate time. This has to be absolutely professional else we know the consequences. I'm willing to step up and be one of the committee. I work in The City and can get across to meet with the Board relatively easily when needed as issues arise. I work in insurance broking so I have a reasonable ability to get technical advice on O&G matters and can get commercial opinion on some of the factors which are of a concern to us (M&A, D&O, Upstream and Downstream issues).

I'd better Bed and Isa my latest addition across before too long then! Getting to a quid would be seriously good news for me, which makes me sound like a pessimist after seeing those numbers!

Starting to read into this share but cautious over the current 28% spread and have my apprehensions about the Horse Hill / Angus Energy prospects. What timeframes are we looking at for the next update?
