Grim,
I do not debunk charting, in fact I use it to support decisions..... and 'support' being the operative word. Say I saw a great share, with great fundamentals, I might then use technicals to determine a good entry point/exit. Exiting here today because some computer algo said so when it did not factor in a scoping study and/or Oman licence dropping after the weekend is folly for an 'investor', perhaps a trader (or investor with a trading float) such as yourself will take their piece and look for the next entry somewhere else. If this dropped to 8.1p and you sold out and news dropped on Tuesday and it soared into the teens next week you would have been well and truely stupid. Charts do not look at changing sentiment either, because that is current and future projection which the chart cannot show. Can it show copper spiking, or gold etc. that would affect the sentiment and desire for a share? All these things affect the chart going forward but you would make a decision on what happened in the past?
As Iceberg says, certain shares lend themselves to more technical trading and a share with low volume, highly price changing news dropping anytime (AIM juniors in exploration for example....ie SAV), MMs deciding on the price to make a market is not one to use high level charting. Using lots of the technicals requires lots of people to be using them and trading via them, especially algos and high frequency trading, were more certainty exists about the points and news is not company changing dropping randomly into your technical plan.
Without your demark whizz bang fizz, I could easily decide to sell here, plenty of reasons technically to do so, however we are still undervalued to our lithium peers and 'exploration to producer' news in a 'rising copper market headed for deficit' is about to drop and will make a mockery of any technical indicator, as well as value placed on Portugal by world's leading engineering group Hatch that will open up deep pocket investors abilities to get involved.
8.1p not a problem, 6.5p a retest of breakout possible yes.......if I am still in I will still win, if I sell out and wait for 6.5p retest I win only 5% of what I would gain staying in.
However if demark can show a greater than 50% success rate with higher returns than loses then its worth using at the right time.
PS some of you shiczters have far too many shares!!! Grrrrr. oh the profits you could be hitting are eye bleeding. I have been going through and saving to each project all the previous RNS' and see Remy has some fine amounts bought at 1.7p!!!!! On that occassion near 6 milllion at 1.7p......but currently 21M before sept 2016.....that is a dollar printing machine right there, jealous, very much so.
Wish I had my ass in gear sept last year at least I'd have got a few at 4.5 to 5. My average is just over 6 and not even 0.5M...booooooo. I need 36p in my SIPP just to break even since I started it and thats only 13k....haha no fear of m
