They are not 0.5 and 1 finds they are the same drill intersects, you choose how much of the intersect you wish to report. By reporting only 1% cuttoff you possibly show shorter intersections (more dispersed, i.e. not connected total length) and higher looking grades for 'show' purposes.
By reporting 0.5% cuttoff you actually increase the resource but lower the resource % content as you are taking in lower graded material to lenghten drill intersects or increase volume. There is a possibility that certain drill intersections had nothing about 1% but would still provide a 0.5% minimum, but they wouldn't want to report a drill intercept less than 1% overall.
The only reason I see to not include certain drill intersections is that they are too far spaced to even create inferred resource, however they must have been reported at some point. There seems a lot of confusion around what is or is not included which is odd too.
