Let's assume everything is equal. With 2023 performance being 2024 performance where the company made a loss of £107m.

The £107m loss consist of exceptional items such as cyber cost (£25m) disposal cost (£?m) , redundancy (£27m). Without the figure for disposal cost. Cyber and redundancy cost total £52m which is non recurring cost. Without them cost, loss would have potentially been around £55m. This is excluding disposal cost that hit profit which isn't going to occur in 2024.

So the loss of £55m is likely to offset the annual saving from redundancy of £60m per year. Giving a profit of £5 million with all being equal?

With further £100m saving expected to be announced. Assuming 50% of the benefit of the saving is in 2024 as the saving to be over 12 months from when announced?. That would put capita in profit around £55m excluding the cost of redundancies for 2024. With no pay rises may see profit this year maybe?

Then Into 2025, the benefits of saving totalling £160m plus no pension cost with slimmest margin increase predicted in 2024 improving into 2025. Could be the year?

That article in my view likely to make UKEF job easier. Eases the pressure on government to try an save jobs knowing that the ceo feels they can still continue through alternative funding options. This helps stop any competition issue, any conflicts within government and everything else that had cause the delay. At the same time, whatever funding option ceo uses. Will atleast retain some jobs imho. So win win for all parties ?

Millennium specifically have lost their credibility imho having increased short and then disappearing all within a week. However, for me, MW has been somewhat successful the past few years and to whom I take seriously. Imho

Looks like millennium closed their short by buying back in which is why we saw large volume. This caused the price to spike creating opportunity for glg partners to open their short at a better price. Expecting volume to normalise after millennium drama. Who looks rather confused on their position. Whilst Marshall wace is still there. Who have have shorted and been almost right all the time on this stock. I look with interest with what they do imho

I'm waiting on WorldQuant LLC to show up soon. They dropped theirs to 0.48%. Assuming they haven't reduced. Could they gain confidence watching others to take it up to 0.5%. We can only watch on and see how it unfolds imho

@darkblue. What we know is, 0.45% of their short has been built up within this month. Where price has been averaged around 14p.ish. but over the past atleat 3 years. Or even more. We haven't seen one major shorter single handedly shorting around 1%. Around 0.2% of their short has been in the past 2 days alone. With capital market ahead. You would expect short reduction. But why all over a sudden, a sudden spike in shorting. Its not even by a tiny amount but sharp jump in shorts. If they continue at 0.10% per day. Hyperthetically, they could be shorting just over 1.5% ..let's see how brave they are imho

I have read the times, it's a good read on the ceo. I think it'll take time to steady the ship. City questioning whether he can deliver? Or is things going to get worse before it gets better. Time will tell. The shorts at today's price is some confidence. To see new hedge funds appearing and showing themselves is concerning. Usually all we knew of was MW imho
